  • You name 1 guy all time NHL to be your goon and Probert is always the man you want.

  • Goon vs. goon.....I like that. :)

  • lol at queers like Syd the kid...what a pussy...ouchy I got hit..can't play for next 2 or maybe 3 years...Probert rules..miss him alot. RIP you were thee best.

  • Ha! Probert can beat Domi with one arm!

  • @encompasser not really did u c the beginning, not 2 mention i saw another vid where laraques kicked proberts ass

  • @colts0627 Laraque is ten years younger than Probert, enough of a difference that they probably shouldn't have been fighting. Both Domi and Probert were feared fighters in their time, but Probert was far more respected both as an enforcer and a player.

  • Yea the greatest Bobby P. R.I.P. you will always be the best!!

  • RIP PROBERT RED WING PRIDE BABY OH FUCK THE AVALANCHE AND YANKEES AND U CROSBY......AND ROY

  • Probert was handicapped in this one so give him credit for at least dropping the gloves!

  • Comment removed

  • It seems like Dmoi let Probert win because he could see he was an injured giant who couldn't seem to match up. I'm with Probie on this fight all the way though. And it's funny how these guys were great friends off ice. Domi showed up at his funeral and I think he was a paul bearer. not sure about that though.

  • Round 12..... O.o

  • Probert had a bad arm and he still fucked up domi!

  • RIP probbie, u were the best fighter in the league

  • As much as im a Domi fan I gotta give props to Probert for having the balls to front him after surgery......most people would run from Domi even uninjured.

  • Domi owned that fight. Probert just got one shot at the end before the refs jumped in.

  • leveled.

  • Probert had a bad shoulder but wanted to avenge the Cam Russell knock out. Great couragoeus enforcing right there by the best there ever was.

  • Domi felt sorry for Bob and let him win. Domi knew Bob was a wounded giant. He felt pity for Bob.

  • @wovokanarchy I guess but if probert hadn't of had the surgey just recently it would have been alot different. both would be wailing away at each other, no holding back for anyone.

  • is probert really that tough when 5 foot domi can hold his own with eas??

  • @night2day6969 Yeah, he was tough. Domi might have been tougher with that thick skull of his haha but Probie was tough.

  • haha. Probert had a bad arm and he still won.

  • @NoiseAnn0ys Were you watching the same fight? Domi had him the whole time except in the end Probert got 2-3 punches and Domi still got up.

  • @wolverine668 yeah but he lost the fight, clearly. probert couldnt punch him with one arm cause he had surgery and didnt want to hurt it, either way these hockey fights aret really one sided so a win isnt much, because i saw a fight which i think domi clearly lost and u say he won, so the difference isnt muxch

  • @matt47forTED Domi Owned nothing he landed some solid rights at the end!!

  • How great is hockey? It's the only sport to allow bare knuckle fights. Even the UFC can't say that.

  • VEGANS MAKE THE BEST FIGHTERS ITS SCIENTIFICALL Y PROVEN

  • @normalguyable what about crackheads?

  • God I remember watching these classic fights live...exciting stuff. I think it's safe to say that Probert was the best fighter in hockey history.

  • Probie won, but it was pretty close up until the end. Very fitting end to one of the greatest player rivalries in sports. RIP Probie.

  • dumi just had a hard head thats all.

  • Domi gets beat everytime just fights for show ecause for whatever reason he likes to be punched is only cliam is his ability to take Proberts punches

  • 2 warriors right there. Guys today are faggots who fight with their shileds.

  • PROBERT JUST fucked up domi with one hand lol never seen this one before

  • best part is that domi hit probert with a few good shots and probert took em like a tank, then he threw three or so of his own and domi was done......RIP probie

  • @howellwrestling114 lmao your 100% unbiased opinion on this fight is truly epic.

  • @jonahrocks1 you must be a domi fan

  • @howellwrestling114 I beg to differ. I first heard about him today, through watching a few hockey vids.

  • wow probert with one sored hand managed to tko domi to the ice.. probert was a tank

  • Bob always gave us his best . !

  • Why are you all bashing domi? Atleast he had the balls to fight probert, I guarantee half you internet tough guys wouldnt even have the balls to drop the gloves with any NHL player

  • cocksucker domi. taking on probert after surgery and only had one arm to use and probert still won. domi should never talk of 'the code'. he probably broke the code more often then any other fighter.

  • Domi never got tired of getting beat up by Probert?

  • @xxJohnRobinsonfanxx I love it. So true, Domi would get punched in the face 80 times then claim victory. I don't think he had a brain in there to injure.

  • This is what hockey was about, aggression. Now its a pussified with queers like crysby.

  • @Drivinfast247 and if they're not pussy's they're whiny little bitches... i miss the days when they just beat the the hell outta each other and moved on with the game

  • @Drivinfast247 I hate hockey but if you want to watch fighting, go watch UFC or Boxing. This hockey fighting is gay as hell.

  • @triplev789 whats so gay about squaring off and throwing punches... i guess it would be way better to watch guys wrestle around a ring in nut huggers and see them barely throw any punches.

  • RIP Bob.

  • RIP Bobby,You won your fight and now and forever more your demons may never haunt you again.God Bless

  • Domi showed up @ Probie's funeral; what a wonderful and respectful gesture.

  • @laffin2much I'm pretty sure Domi was a paulbearer too.

  • @isohockey92 Bob didn't have much good to say about Domi in his new book. Didn't openly dog him but made fun of Domi, implied he was an insecure little man.

  • R,I,P, Domii, Got my Respect now ,,, It,sa Just a game

  • hahah fuck off domi. you waste of space prick probert just kicked your ass with one hand. R.I.P Probert. you will truly be missed

  • gotta give credit to domi who took the fight but probert was something

  • RIP.......what a great series of fights with Domi!!!

  • @kadeacon Domi Isn't DEAD! He's My Second Cousin!

  • @XxvegamanxX He's talking about Probert.

  • @XxvegamanxX ya but proberts is idiot

  • I can't believe how frigging tough Domi was. I followed hockey a lot back when he was playing, and appreciated him, but not like I should have. I wish I had balls like he does. Just unreal. On a side note, yes, Probert was one of the best, if not the best, fighter, and it took a lot of guts to go with him. Domi did it like it was nothing. Unreal.

  • man domi is so small and he is so tough and then look at the size of probert domi doesnt a good job of screwing with other teams players andf he is good at it sean avery and steve downie remind me of tie domi

  • @tiedomijr07 exactly. Domi is only 5'10 and Probert is Fuckn 6'4 Thats a HUGE differents.

  • @Migahell 6"3

  • domi bailed out, guess he didnt take roids that night

  • @robertk2007 why are you going to say that. Your saying that in this match we have Steroids vs. Cocaine? Come on bro..give credit to two great competitors regardless of their personal mistakes.

  • @MafiaWars23 with all due respect roids and cocaine allow you to be ultra-competitive. i like to see hockey fights but this was blow vs roids.... i am not Quaker, I have done my fair share of narcotics. never did roids. just trying to be funny and i thought it was clever if i do say so my damn self

  • @robertk2007 lol it was blow vs. roids I guess

  • Typical Domi...gets dropped and when the linesmen jump in he starts up again

  • Probert kicks ass, but Domi is the kind of guy that gets his ass kicked and comes back for more!

  • bla bla doni lost agian.......probert rules

  • i give domi props though

    he threw good hits

  • Probert kinda reminds me of one of the Hanson brothers.

  • haha yesss

  • once probert gets his opponents helmet off there's no stopping him

  • Actually, this was NOT the last fight between Domi and Probert. This one was in 97-98. They had one last battle in 98-99.

  • Have another rye and coke bobby

  • LOL im sure he would especially the coke

  • Two Legends ..Some great fights between those 2 ..Go Isles 2009-2010 ..Love Hockey

  • Its funny how the toronto crowd cheered louder after probert knocked down domi.

  • man look at the size difference i would be cheeren on any guy who has the balls to take on a guy that big

  • probert was only 6'3 225

  • which was big in that era

6"5/6"6 and more were rare to watch

now theres 1or 2 per team average

  • 6'6 even today most teams don't have ill start with calgary toronton florida.... etc but boston and the islanders do of course as do about 13 teams

  • yeah

    NHL average is 6"1

20 years ago some says its around 5"11

in the 50s(gordies era and richards)

    5"9

  • @Kainnmaul what are you talking about?

  • @Kainnmaul Thats because Probert had respect!

  • domi admitted in an interview the toughest guys he ever fought were dave brown and bob probert

  • probert only got one in domi clocked him like 5 times

  • domi dominated that fight. then probert threw one punch. game over domi

  • probert owened domi...and pretty much everyone else.

  • look up probert fights kucor. gets his ass kicked

  • And Domi gets his ass beat by a one handed Probert this time. Beautiful. How anyone can say that Domi is in the same class as Probert is beyond logic.

  • Probert beats Domi again? Geez Probert was awesome

  • this was back when players could actually fight. When they fell down they got back up and kept going. Now people just take the other guy down when he gets tired. Takes downs are way more dangerous and a cheap way to end a fight.

  • WOW! I'm 5'9" and played golf with Tyromir on many occasions, and have always been TALLER than him! Gee, I guess I didn't know that for 30years I've really been 5'11 Better go change that passport and drivers license! Wait till I tell Tyromir...

  • ...and down goes Dummy !

You're right al the way BoSox...!

In the 90's at 5'10 and 207 pounds (not 5'8

like his ignorants fans thinks or want us to

believe) Domi was a true heavyweight.

He had a cement head ,land solid shots and was an extremely talented and skilled fighter.

Even if i hated this bastard buffoon so much ,i believe he can deserve to be in any serious top 10 or 20 list of best nhl fighters of all time.

  • You are confusing size with height. Fighters are sorted into weight class. While reach is an advantage, so is having a lower center of gravity! That's why Stan Johnathan and Domi were successful against guys 8 inches taller, frequently!

I'm far more impressed with Jonathan, who routinely gave up 40lbs. Most of Domi's opponents were within 15 pounds of him!

  • You are so right. Short stalky guys had an advantage if they knew how to use it. Domi and Kocur were two that definately knew how(watch Kocur dismantle a much bigger Link Gaetz). Twist wasn't very tall either but, unlike Kocur and Domi he would turn sideways hold the opponents arm or wrestle and spin. Very few like Probert would hold by the collar and trade blow for blow.

  • Twist used steroids, so I don't even like having him in the conversation. He's in a class with Morisette and Kordic, and there are many others that we just don't know about yet.

The only thing I didn't like about Probert was the jersey coming off. It's the same reason I hated Ray....although at least Probert wasn't bare chested, leaving his opponent nothing to grab.

  • I honestly believed that him not tying down his jersey hurt him more than helped.Often he would get his arms tied down so he couldn't lift his arms to throw.Anyway, that's how I saw it.

  • Well you saw it wrong. It may have hindered him early in fights, but that basically allowed him to wait until his opponents punched themselves out and when the jersey finally came off, they didn't have energy to tie him up. If you look at his win loss record, it was exponentially better when the jersey came off, although he still was tough when he didn't lose it...unlike Rob Ray who was a punching bag after the tie down rule. Twist crushed his orbital bone.

  • Wow.Saw it wrong? If you look at his fight with McCarthy for example, one of the things that hurt him was he wasn't able to get out of his jersey, a la Ray, and the jersey being tied down.If you looked at Probert-Smyth II, he had purposely tied down his jersey and won it walking away.

  • I guess you are missing my point! First off, It helped him out on EXPONENTIALLY MORE OCCASIONS than it hurt him. Secondly, I said he was still tough with it tied down, and Smyth didn't have the stamina. The fight was close until Smyth was exhausted, and Probert just decked him. Probert was in a class with about only 4 guys at that time that had incredible Stamina:Marty McSorley, Jay Miller, and Craig Coxe.

  • yeah, he and Marty had a long fight in '94 when Marty was with Pittsburgh the second time around.

You never saw Marty lose many, he was certainly a game fighter, like Dave Brown, but Marty could throw them with both hands.

  • Actually one player I saw destroy Marty about half a dozen times was Donald Brashear. Prior to the infamous stick swinging incident, I never saw a plyer totally dominate McSorley in virtually every fight. Styles make makes, and for some reason the match up between them didn't bode well for Marty at all. Brashear was the only fighter I ever saw dominate McSorley...most fights weren't even close!

  • I will have to check that out.I've only seen the stick swinging thing.

Never been a Brashear fan.I think he's far too much of a hot dog.He had a fight earlier this year, can't remember who, and this guy just clocked him one.

    He is just a hugger.

  • Actually he's a very smart fighter, and one of the top 10 I've ever seen. He doesn't just hug...he uses his strength, which is an advantage he has over most fighters, to gain an adventageous position and then starts firing punches. Only Laraqye, Chara, and Belak are better fighters now. Brashear being American born and being black makes him very hated in the Canadian fight fan community. They hate non Canadian stars-which is why Chara is so hated as well.

  • That wasn't their last fight, there were a few more Probert vs Domi.

This video was 4/15/98 at Maple Leaf Gardens.....Domi had knocked Cam Russell to the ice in an earlier fight....Russell had to leave on a stretcher.

    This was retaliation for Russell.

There was another awesome fight between Kris King and Reid Simpson in this very game!

King and Simpson were beating the crap out of each other.

  • i believe that was 1996-1997 season probert had just came back from rotator cuff surgery

  • he beat Domi one handed there. Only Kocur could fight better one handed. His right was so messed up most of the time, that he would use only the left and still kill people.

  • Proby was the best at lettin the other guy punch himself out. Hockey fights rarely go long but Bob would string it out and then just beat the hell out of his opponent. Brilliant, if you are tough enough to take the early barrage.

  • Proby was a TOUGH sumbitch,,, you just couldn't hurt the guy... OLD TIME HOCKEY !!!

  • Damn... Probert was an animal.
