Coz I found a website that hosts all the tracks from the game and that track one was one of them. He probably got them from there. Google the website "khinsider" and go to the game soundtracks section :)
Cool, thanks. I actually found it after a few minutes of searching.
I wonder where these were found? I'm guessing they were buried in the actual game data, somewhere, and were never programmed in. Too bad, the one at 3:56 is awesome.
Good upload, expect it's missing the princesses' theme song... The one which plays when you discover the hidden princesses and whence they promptly ask you to marry them.
Could you tell me whats the name of the song that starts at 3:56? Or the name of the level where it plays? I can't find a soundtrack with the songs separated...
What a Great Collection, Wizard & Warriors the NES Trilogy was so great ! Nice gameplay, and we always loved these tunes ... Garudoh ..Yo life is hard, for alot of people thanks for reminding me of goodtimes. One luv
i have beaten this game many times, but i never get to know what the ending is about XD he defeats malkil and then jumps in to a colorfull thing and lands in the future XD .. but i guess.. video games does not have to make any sence..
@regresseur I disagree. I think the third one has the best music. Title theme, Game Over/Final Battle/Ending theme, Pause music (great Rare staple btw), Castle Inn, all the class theme songs, it's all good.
Still, this music comes up in my head every once in a while. I adooooore the soundtrack of this game! I wish there were bands who could rerecord them as rock/metal-tracks!! :)
I hate to say it, but I was extremely underimpressed by the music in this game. It's not bad, but compared to the original and Ironsword which had some of the most memorable themes in NES history and already set the bar extremely high, what happened with this installment?!
This game had the best end ever... I mean, if you chose to join with the king, he'd just kill you, lol. It was great... And frustrating the first time I found that out, lol.
I remember finally getting to the end and choosing to join Malkil on my last life. It took a lot of determination to finally get back and beat him (particularly as the game had no password or save option).
Never knew they came out with a third one, & I can understand why. They really tore apart what they built up with the first two, especially the music. And that dumb pose you make when you get an item, ridiculous! The wizard form made me think of Bobbin Threadbare. =P
I've never gotten far in this game, but the general consensus is that this is an huge improvement over WW2:Ironsword (which ironically is my favorite in the series). As for the music, idk it's the same composer. I find it interesting that not only has this series completely vanished from the minds of it's creators, but that everyone forgets the Gameboy game as well.
I might have been too judgmental about the game. The reason the game is different is probably because it came out in 1992, when games have become more advanced with the popularity of RPGs, so obviously they were trying something different along that line, but that's just a guess. The music isn't that bad, actually, but it is different than the first two. I wasn't really into the series anyways, so I definently wouldn't have known about the GB version. Thanks for the response, though.
This is just a weird series anyway. Some of the platforming is pretty fun, and the music is good, but these games have like one of the worst sword attacks in the history of video games.
You know, by the way, I could have sworn that the ending of this game was all the Princesses beat you up because you promised to marry all of them, but when I finished this on my emulator recently, all it had was him falling through the portal and such.
Can someone please tell me what's the name of the theme that starts at 2:17?, it would be much appreciated. :)

Farthest I ever got was 2nd costumes for all.
I never had the time for a straight playthrough, and there was no save function.
Thank god for save-state emulators!

Man, that unused music would have been great as the dragon battle theme. Or an ending theme even.

I figured as much. But yeah I wonder about them too how people get them. And yes 3:56 is awesome!

I don't think the song at 3:56 is in the game. Did you make a mistake and insert a song from another game?
If so, could you let me know what game that is from?

3rd Wizard trial was so annoying... and the knight trials, to a much lesser extent... the ending is the least satisfying ending ever, though...
