  • @TheNewlife1995 oh you too bro?

  • Tears come to my eyes everytime I hear this song! :-(

  • this song takes me back to my highskool days....!!!

  • Question.... Why cant I put this on my playlist!!!? :( Not happy

  • As long as whoever is singing this sweet slow jam does is justice, remake or original, it matters not who it is, let them sing it's praises! Because this song deserves the maddest respect! Timeless indeed..Thank you Dorothy Moore!

  • @07 and 08:..Monica's rendition was noticeable..emotion seems lacking tho..the feeling of a 'missing love/lover' or when u miss someone seems absent..otherwise terrific talent..

  • Monica, came correct on the remake

  • A great remake... !!!

  • Dorothy Moore is the original singer for this song. Monica did an Awsome job remaking it.....

  • Eddy Arnold released this song in 1967, 9 years before Dorothy Moore, I can't find where Gladys Knight ever did it, though she may have. While we're on that subject, my favorite GK song is "Neither One of Us."

  • I don't think Gladys Knight ever did this one. I checked her discography and it wasn't in her top 20 list and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Actually, country singer Eddy Arnold was probably the first to do this song. He did it before Dorothy Moore I believe. but I can't find where Gladys knight ever recorded it. If I'm wrong, sorry, but tell me when she did.

  • jdore cette chanson tro bonne....

  • this is my shit

  • @LUVLIE88 LMAOO, does this mean you like it or not?

  • I like when Mary j did it

  • monica has a quality in her voice that soothes the soul great cover of this beautiful song

  • this goes out to john haahahaha

  • I love this song. This entire CD was the soundrack to my teenage years. I still love Monica.

  • @alwaysclassy62 and soundtrack to all the drama that Monica was going thru too, lol.

  • I love it and she really can sing this song good

  • i dont care who sings this song who wrote it,just sit back and enjoy it,, im loving it.its nice all the way.

  • can you believe WILLIE freaking NELSON wrote this souful thing? LOLOL...from the most unexpected places comes greatness!

  • Okay people the ORIGINAL was done by a guy name Joe simon. If nobody believes me go down the list to the right and hit Joe Simon Misty Blue see for yourself. He did a damn good job too!

  • i've always loved this song and didn't know it was a remake until my mommy told me either way both of them did an awesome job

  • Well I for one did not know who Dorothy Moore was til I read the comments and I am 24 yrs old. I think these singers remake songs to commemorate those who've sung these songs before them, not to be compared and judged. Monica sung this song in the way SHE could. If she was trying to sing like Dorothy or Gladys, I think it would still turn out great.

  • yes monica made this song fire listened to this 10 tymes in a row lol

  • monica brings it when she sings this song!

  • Wow... another amiably pleasant attempt at an oldie. I missed this one.

  • Actually, this song was around long before Dorothy Moore. However, I don't think anyone put it down like her!!!

  • great song whatever it is

  • i love the way monica sang this song need to make it my ring tone for my ex still love you baby

  • dis my shit

  • Mary J. Blige also remade this song. I like Monica version more better. She didn't over sing in the song.

  • haha....ur funny Misty....this was on when we got our eyebrows pierced...!!! :))

  • DAM Monica did dis song SO MUCH justice, it shouldda been a single

  • she sounds good sangin dis song i love dis song so much she did dat song

  • My mother loves this song hard otu

and Monica sounds so beautiful singing this peicexx

  • Monica has the youthful sound to her voice like Dorothy when she sang it and she brought the soul and drama to it. She did a good job.

  • i use to have this cassette tape :]

  • Boyz 2 men have also just covered this on their new album Love. There version is miles better than this version both musically and vocally.

  • Remember vocal king Wanya is a beast......

  • monica has the vocals to do this song, however i agree that she does not beleive what she is singing. not singing from the gut.

  • sorry this a remake dorothy moore song

  • First of all , Monica did the damn thing on the remake of this classic! , You all need to get it together!

  • This is Dorothy Moore's song

  • this is not gladys knights song! ck fact plz

  • I don't need to check my facts, I know that Dorothy Moore is the original, but I am referring to the fact that Gladys Knight also sang this song and I love the way she sang it as well as the way Dorothy sang it.

  • @chica0616 & SHE IS THE ORIGINAL SONGER YOU RIGHT LUV....

  • @chica0616 Yes you are correct Dorothy Moore is the original singer for this classic song! But my girl Monica killed this and made it her own; you can't even tell it's been remade. Now that's how you remake a song....

  • @chica0616 Gladys Knight may have covered the song, but you can't call it "Gladys Knights famous song" because Gladys didn't make it famous. Dorothy Moore did.

Good upload though, because I love this as much as Dorothy Moore's original.

  • @chica0616 well how can you remake a remake darling? So once again, CHECK YOUR FACTS

  • @chica0616

Yes. Actually, "Misty Blue" is NOT Dorothy Moore's song at all. "Misty Blue" was written by a man named Bob Montgomery and it was written for Brenda Lee. "Misty Blue" was originally a country-western song that was performed by several artists before reaching Miss Moore. Although Dorothy's rendition is of the most recognizable, "Misty Blue" is Eddy Arnold's song. ;) But yeah. I'm just saying. :)

  • @chica0616 But when you say remake, it's expected that you give credit to the originator of the song, not someone else who also remade it.

  • y'ALL NEED TO STOP HATING, PERIOD!

  • lol yall are a mess but you guys do have a point she could have went harder than that

  • Oooooh NO chil!!'It' just aint 'there'!!She don sound like she believes one WORD of what she's singin!!!!Listen to Dorothy's version...!!I give her props ONLY for havin the balls to THINK she could 'pull it off'...but she HASN'T!!!!

  • This song is originally from Dorothy Moore such an amazing song!

  • Gosh I wish Monica would sing more songs of this caliber...it is so perfect for her voice!!! I sang this song plenty of nights right along with her...she doesnt have to do remakes but she can certainly do more songs that will stand the test of time like this one...Lord some1 tell Monica she has a true fan that misses the Monica that sang songs like those on the 1st 3 cds...she left me confused with the last one...

  • co-signs!!!

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my sister is NAMED mistyblue....i guess my parent was going thru some things. so when we heard monica remade it we was like HEY

  • crack up i thought englebert humperdink created this song, looks like someone lied to my thoughts!!! dahaha

  • Classic Monica has such a controlled voice and this was recorded when she was younger her voice is still smooth as silk

  • I thought this was a elvis song?

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • remember smokin up in my room in my early 20 to this song ... ohhh ... the days ... I love you so much, RRJ

  • my grandparents use to dance to this jam way way back in the day....!!...she did a real good job with this one...

  • This is a true remake.Nothing changed nothing messed up or made new...just sand with a different singer singing it so good

  • @sierralucas617 INDEED!!!!!!

  • Gladys didnt make the original. Dorothy Moore did

  • Monica does a geat remake of this greaT SONG BY DOROTHY MOORE, not Gladys Knight. Gladys never did this song.

  • yes gladys knight did do this song, she may not have made it first but she did make it though

  • Are you sure? I'd suggest you carefully research and verify your information. The popular school of thought with regard to this song is that Ms. Dorothy Moore put it on the proverbial map. Monica's version is lovely. She has the vocal range and control to pull this off very nicely.

  • She did a good job with this song!! Love it!!!

  • i luv dis song fo sho!!!

  • THIS MY SHI!!!!

  • there is almost nothing about this track to give away when it was recorded

she plugged into that authentic soul sound

    mad props

  • the blues makes me soo sad but i love it so much
