I was lucky enough to see Warrant with Jani singing lead in one of their very last concerts together. It was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at a small bar called Third Street Live. Great show ! Jani was still singing his ass off even though he clearly had issues with drugs and alcohol. He didn't miss a beat or forget a single word. He was the consummate front man !

I have been going through all the metal vids of the 80's...it was all good but....im sorry, Warrant had A LOT to do with the downfall of metal. Even Skid Row, Poison , Whitesnake, Extreme , had kind of an edge to them. Warrant was WAY to watered down. This song and cherry pie was the BIG target for critics. Metal wouldnt have fallen as hard if there was no Warrent. Not being disrespectful to Jani at all. Even he admitted that they shouldered a lot of the blame. RIP

I ran into ctue in 1984, LITERALLY.I had gone to the mall to get my HS grad suit, and upon leaving, I was having some bs argument with my mom and went through this crowd.....then it was bump, right into lead singer dude who was like WTF are you doing. Not to be outdone, I looked dude up and down and said: "WHAT in the hell are you?" The whole band went nuts laughing and then INVITED ME ON THE ROAD WITH THEM. Its one reason behind my band support channel.

Still can't believe Jani Lane is gone :( He had a great voice, great personally, and knew how to rock. He was a great example of a legendary singer who died too young.
