@silentking68 the otterbox defender has the highest protection. This kinda has a little more style to it, but has a regular screen protector that you have to put on yourself. The defender, is three pieces, with an attached screen protector. In other words, you don't have to put it on yourself, its part of the pieces. Mores style/lighter=commuter series. Protection but adds bulk= defender. I have the defender on my ipod, have since day 1, but I wish they had more colors

The Griffin Survivor is a better case. It protetcs the WHOLE IPod... It doesn't expose any part if the IPod and it has a built in screen protector.

@getsilleeh remove the blue cover first, Then the silicone should come off with no problem. Just put you finger under the slip and pull back and under the ipod... the one side of the ipod should be out and then you just slide it out.
