I still haven't beaten skyward sword (30+ hrs in, pre 5th temple) but I'm loving it. It may be my goty once I beat it, but for now its portal 2, and my only problem with it was that it was a bit too short. I haven't played the other big picks for goty, but the only other one I'm really looking forward to is batman arkham city. skyrim is just a bit too open for me.

Big gaming moments: the ending of portal 2 (singleplayer), the wiiu reveal, getting a 3ds and playing skyward sword. all so awesome.

The game I enjoyed the most this year was Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. I was really hyped waiting for the release and it did not dissapoint. A triple a singleplayer experience followed by an extremely fun multiplayer makes it my choice for game of the year.

everyone was so harsh on DUKE NUKEM FOREVER. I didn't think it was THAT good but it wasn't THAT bad either. Yes rough and we all expected better, but it basically was outdated before it came out, It was designed on the QUAKE2 engine. Obviously it was no BATTLEFIELD but I still had fun playing it. Except for the long ass loading times, that pissed me off

i agree about skyrim being the game of the year for tara and max choices. what surprised me was how amazing Shadows of the damned was. i rented it thinking it was going to be a game with alot of stupid dick jokes, im not a big fan, but WOW the game blew my mind in terms of story and how damn funny it was and how compelling the characters where. i felt bad for renting it. and i bought it NEW too bad it did terrible sale wise.. but it was too awesome. portal 2 is amazing too :3

It wasn't that Skyrim had many bugs, I barley ran into any, the problem was how major the bugs were. Some of them I was really surprised that the QA testers missed them such as the thieves guild bug where you can not talk to Maven Black-Briar.

I just found that since Bethesda had made an environment where it's "do what you want, when you want" that the bugs managed to aggravate me so much.

Still a great game though, GOTY.
