quick question to anyone who want to answer it im thinking about starting a wrestling career and my name is going to involve the word phoenix (not in a negative way)is that disrespecting hayabusa or not?
@THEFALLEN093 With all due respect, not at all sir! Sabu was just a garbage wrestler with some highflying moves. Hayabusa defined the term highflying. The way he glides through the air is so magnificent, Sabu cannot match him at all. Just because they wear the almost the same attire does not mean they're the same. Hayabusa>Sabu.
@ThePerfectOne95 sabu garbage? are you kidding me. he was the evolution of american wrestling in the 90's and by the laws of nature shouldnt even be alive today. if hayabusa had heard your disrespect towards sabu he would rise up from his wheelchair and smack you up for your blasphemies.
@freddieflakes I totally agree, comparing him to sabu and sabu to him is HUGELY respectful for the both of them since they were both utterly insane and awesome wrestlers...as someone else said Hayabusa just had more grace about his wrestling whilst Sabu jumped through and into anything lol.
well actually he is in the New Japan hall of fame, but i do agree he should be in every wrestling hall of fame there is... he was a god in the ring... I grew up watchin him and i miss the hell out of his in ring action
hes the fucking man, I remmber playin wcw vs nwo world tour on my n64 back in gr 6 rippin it up with him me n my buddy always picked him then started to tape trade and found out more about it shame about the injury
To compare Mistico and Hayabusa is like compaing apples to oranges. They both have very different styles and moves. Mistico is traditional Lucha and Hayabusa had elements of the style but he was still traditional (post Tiger Mask 1) japanese Junior Style. So you might wanna compare him to some one else man.
As much as a Haya mark as I was, the number of botched spots in his career were just insane. The poor guy ended hurting himself in most of those fuck ups. But if theres one thing you can say about him, thats the fact that he put his heart and soul into every match. Truly an icon
2 questions 1# Was the name of the fastest production bike named after him or any connection? bc he was b4 the bike #2 his moves are awesome no doubt anything to do with Vega from streetfighter arcade game he is Vega??! I've also seen him dress Sub-zero or Scorpion like too very interesting.
Hayabusa is the Japanese word for "Phoenix" or "Falcon." That's not a real literal translation. Just the best of my knowledge. So, there's no connection to the motorcycle. They just happen to share the same name.
Hayabusa is my favourite wrestler,he is so good, because he is a "flying assasin", but he still is a technical wrestler, that's great,if you take amazing red,he could just do the high flying, the 360,shooting star presses and stuff, but then he injured hie knee, and now he can't do them because of hie injure,so now he wrestles infront of maybe 10-20 people, but that could not happen to hayabusa, because he can do technical to.
he said that after he snapped his neck, he never would do that move again. he also said that people were lucky to even see him do that move. btw, this video was great. Hayabusa was the best in Japan. its a shame that his career ended so quickly
H was the best! WWE would waste his talent. They have no idea what to do with wrestlers. I dare you to watch 10 minutes of japanese wrestling and go back to wwe.
what? he snapped his neck in 2001. hes in a wheelchair, but he can walk with help these days, but not much. He said his dream is to once more stand in a wrestling ring. And i'd love that, because he may well be one of the greatest of all time, but i cant see him ever wrestling again
this guy is my wrestling idol if you could come to a BZW show and see me i do just about every move like him and i have an actuall mask he wore that i wear in my matches because it gives me luck (seriously)
LoL. You're 12? If I may make a suggestion, wait a few years and then try the real deal instead of the backyard trampoline stuff. That's a pretty good way to end up like Busa (in a wheelchair). And trust me, I watched your video, you're not doing anything close to Hayabusa. I'm not gonna' knock ya' though. Be careful and have fun little man.
He will definitely go down as 1 of the greats in the business, just a shame that his flight got cut short. Does anybody know if he is still running his promotion "WMF"?
Heyabusa is gr8, but he cuts the SSP's realy close, u can see what a mean by the botch he did on his neck, but all in all, very good sound wrestler, 450's are sweet/
Hayabusa was one of the best japanese wrestlers i've ever seen, he could wrestle good deathmatches, and unlikely to other Japanese who can't wrestle outside deathmatch Hayabusa could put a clinic wrestling, see his match with Ooya
That's because that game wasn't originally even supposed to be WCW/NWO World Tour. All the guys in the roster with unknown names are japanese wrestlers.
He won the championship in Maxico. After that, he wants to build up FMW and sacrificed all his life for FMW. But he is paralysed in an accident since 2001. The greatest wrestler ever with the wrost tragedy.
