A vertical is not measured when your standing still. They have a test like the one in football scouting. Players get a small running start, and jump as high as they can and his this hanging little sticks. As they get shorter the number gets higher on it. which ever is the last one they hit has the vertical on it. It is very uncommon to see a guy with a 50+ vertical. They were not measuring his vertical when jumping on a tramp.. A new born baby can get 50 inch vertical on a tramp.
