If your just starting out I suggest you get a Spyder Pilot or some other marker from Kingman to start to get to know this sport and see if you like it or not. If you do I would suggest upgrading to a Mini, Proto Rail, Reflex 2011, Etek 3 etc if you can.But remember just have fun.

@nerfboy4321 no, buy a tippman, spyders have terrible resale value and are super unreliable, tippmans will last forever and have about a $30-50 resale drop. i bought my mr2 with eyes for $200, used it twice then it started leaking, i called spyder and they said replace the cup seal, i did that, 4 times, along with all the o-rings still leaks, sold it with a mask tank and hopper for $100

@xxTIGER43xx Using compressed air is better on any marker but Spyders are capable of using CO2. What gets cold and freezes is the air in the tank when you shoot really fast. The faster you drain the CO2 from the tank the colder it gets.

@babytoys117 victors sucks. get teh electra ive got the 09 with eyes and i love it 2 DEATH!!!!! it is an amazing gun. but my recomendation is that you get a hpa tank to or else u will eventualy break an oring in the reg. HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!!!

I like the Electra because it has a lot of features that comes standard but the Pilot is a great marker if you're on a tight budget.

why have u guys never gone to any gun using spool valve? U need to get ur guns more durable and the shitty solinoid and springs wear out after les than a year on ur guns, also the fasta loader, my freind bought the 9v hopper and it looks like u can fit two 9volts in there but all u did was put some little plastic shit in the way so u cant, I tried to stay with your company and use ur products but u guys have screwed me over and my freinds for the last time =P never buying spyder anything again

The most recent Spyder markers like the Electra, Pilot and Xtra now comes with standard CA threads for the vertical foregrip adapter and bottomline holes for ASA tank adapters.

Maybe you were shooting the marker faster than the loader can feed the balls? What kind of loader were you using? Did you also consider maybe it was the paint? It might have been too brittle. Paint gets brittle when the weather is too cold.

i gave a spyder xtra 06. i recently went paintballing with it and when i went to chrono it, it was shooting 310, 345, 325. so i lowered the vedlocity and it shot 305, 315, 340. so i lowered it as far as it will go and i was still shooting in the 300s. the owner of the place said it could be the detents. if it is, how can i fix this problem without paying a lot of money? plz help

The detents have no effect on increasing the velocity. The velocity would be low if the detent was missing. Because it will allow the paintball to roll forward into the barrel prematurely.

There are two things you can do to reduce the velocity if the marker is still shooting hot after turning the velocity adjuster all the way out or counter clockwise. You can take the striker spring (refer to manual) & cut one coil from it or leave the marker in the cocked position for a few days (no air).

I currently am using a spyder xtra 06 model. i have a invert halo too hopper, and a 14 inch smart parts progressive barrel. Im thinking about getting the spyder rocking trigger frame for this gun. Is it a good buy? i found it for 50 dollars

Sounds like you've got a pretty strong set up. You should be good with what you have. I'd suggest playing with it some more to get a good feel of what else you might think you want to get out of your gear.

the 2 eyes inside the breach read when a ball is completely in the chamber thus when the eyes are on the gun will only fire when a ball is completely chambered minimizing ball breaks......... works like a charm
