how could you possibly prefer the RB1 kit to the GHWT kit??, the GH pedal is much better, doesn't snap as often, lower angle, you can tell when it'll register as a hit, the drum pads are quieter, they have better rebound, the cymbals have great rebound, the RB1 kit, is noisy, breaks easily and the pedal sucks balls
Uhm..put tape over the bottom of the holder type deal and it wont move.. my yellow cymbal use to go all over the place but now its the only one that doesn't move.. my other 2 i didnt tape cuz I like to change em a bit sometimes and it makes it a bit more interesting when play haha. But ya my green n blue cymbals dont move :D
i have a problem with the yellow one only it is really lose win i put it on it just flops down i tighten it as much as i can but the cymbal is not tight at all
i got 4 drum sets one broke and i threw it out but i kept the pipes then burned a hole in the stand and now the second foot pedal is way out to the left
RB2 has some good songs, but some shitty ones too. same with GH4, It's hard to appeal to every audience without pissing one group of people off. RB1 has the pussiest songs IMO (Garbage BLEH)
i got the rock band 2 kick pedal with the adapter to hook up to my rock band 1 stock kit and it didnt work it only worked with the rok band 1 pedal what should i do to fix that?
I have a stock EL kit and the double kicker works great try switching the channels I have mine on channel 1 because I got it for 360 channel 2 is for wii and ps3/ps2
hey salrayborn and any other ppl having the cymbal problem where they fall down ino what the prob is: first take off the cymbals. on the black 6 inch pole thing connected to the drums is a ring thing under the clips. losen the screw on the cymbal holder and put the top of the cymbal holder around the ring and screw in the bolt thing. now they dont fall...
For the Double Bass Pedal, you have to get the official rock band double base coupler which is about 20 dollars or so, but it comes with a rock band 2 kick pedal. I have one myself and I can hit both kick pedals at the same time. Hope that helped.
well i would get the ion but i just don't av the room so the Rb or wt drums is a OK size i just cant decide which 1 i all ready av the Rb 1 drums i just want to upgrade
i have the rb 1 drums i want either the rb 2 drums n cymbals or the world tour drums but i rather have rb 2 so what i want to ask is it worth upgrading to the rb 2 kit and do the cymbals tilt downwards like on the gh set
dude screw all that and get an ion kit they are the best !! quiet, cymbals included and no falts yh there a bit pricey but if u buy rb 2 kit and cymbals ur spendin relativly same price
what are you retarded? The ion is 300.00 if you get the third cymbal, and the normal rock band drumset is 100.00 plus 60.00 for two cymbal kit expansion packs. Hmm let's see... you just saved 140.00.
when i had the cymbols on there i did everything the way it was supposed to be. the brace clicked together the screws were tight. just wouldn't stay. thanks though
the only thing i can tell you is to just go ahead and get the goodwoods. my kit went to shit so i just went ahead and ordered the goodwood kit. they are lot more quiet. never miss a note unless it is your fault. couldnt ask for better. but that is just my opinion.
give it time. mine did not have the problem either. but after awhile it started and then the hole kit just screwed up. just saved myself money and ordered the goodwoods
im not sure about my set, but i got my rock band 2 bundle a few days ago, and the problem where if u hit the yellow or the blue too close on the edge it sets off the next drum, well mine doesnt have that problem-at all. i even tried it a minute ago, i was hitting the edge as hard as i could and it didnt set off the other drum, idk maybe im just lucky.
ya like u said with the double bass the switch foot action but now when u buy a 2nd bass pedal u get and addapter so it gets rid of the switch foot action so that makes it easier
anyone saying just dont hit the cymbal hard, he stated tapping it throughout the song it goes down yet in the time he had to show u he had to speed up the process. also if u going to buy cymbals they are there for show and fun. hitting them hard is fun. why else pay money to get pads that are harder to hit and make more noise if your not doing it for fun.
it works like that because the guitar hero world tour pedal is activated by preassure on the pad which sets of the senson under it. the rock band goes of with a button switch. if you hold it down it will send a constant signal to the drumset so that way it don't recognize if you hit the other pedal.
When you say the first pedal has to be up when hitting the 2nd one, do you mean all the way up or it just can't be flat on the ground hitting the sensor?
hey buddy you dont have the blue cymbal completely snapped in where it connects to the pole to the drum kit there is 2 little lips that you got to snap toghether so they dont move around i had that problem until i read the instructions
To keep the cymbals up i take the foam off the cymbal its self and put it on the pole it sits on then push it down into the hole i need to like hit as hard as i can like several hundred times for it to go down
it's just a y splitter that has two headphone jacks that connects into one so one side plugs in like a headphone and the other side has two headphone inputs (thats how you make a double bass pedal)
i love the idea for the double kick i think i'm going to buy a splitter when i buy a new drum kit stupid guitar hero busted but the kick works fine :)
the cymbal spinning is normal, and if your clamp is fine but it still goes down, try useing clear tape to make sure it stays. i have just bought myself cymabals and you can bang anything on the cymbals and drums and it dosnt activate anything else, even though mine is wii.
Salrayborn, are you still having this problem with your cymbals? I actually had the same problem. The issue is with the clamp make sure that the center piece (the area between where clamp is connected to the pole and where the clamp is connected to the actual cymbal)is clamped together correctly. when you push that part together you should hear a loud *SNAP*. ever since, I have had no issue with any movement at all.. you don't even have to tighten it completely. its now an A+ product for me.
Do you still have the messed up kit? If you purchased it within the month you can exchange it for another kit. I got mine from best buy and after mine broke I took it back and upgraded my package for an extra 30 so that I can now take it back as many times as I need for a full year. I'm on my 3rd kit.. its actually a different kit from my original parts wise. This option might be worth it.
Yo the ion's are amazing EXCEPT for the drum pedal so if you can't afford an aftermarket drum pedal i'd get the goodwoods for half the price and get like the destroyer pedal or one similar for 80-100 bucks
if anyone from sweeden reads this. can you plz tell me if the rock band 2 drum kit is available in sweden. cause it's not available in norway. might go to eb games in sweden if it is available there.
It's not, the only RB2 related stuff you can get here in Sweden is the game for the 360. None of the instruments has been released yet, not even the game for PS3 and Wii.

you know you have to turn a controller on to control the microphone, right? besides that, there shouldn't be a problem but if there is than you should send it back to the manufacturer.
i have the same problem with my cymbals, only thing...they both go down, that sux....btw i never knew u could use a double kick pedal, which is good info, thx

the problem with the kick pedals is that they work using a magnet switch, the magnets are just a little too powerful, thus when you hold down the pedal, it's still regestering the magnet against the switch, just replace the official magnets on the bottom on the pedal (should be orange on the original rockband drum) and just duck tape or screw in an older magnet from your fridge, worked for me

on the GH:WT drums you can hold one down and hit the other one
becuase its only activated when the pedal is hitting the pad
IareMikeJones 2 years ago
it works like that because the guitar hero world tour pedal is activated by preassure on the pad which sets of the senson under it. the rock band goes of with a button switch. if you hold it down it will send a constant signal to the drumset so that way it don't recognize if you hit the other pedal.
