you can also save a deployable cover and jump on it and then jump to the skull. When I do it i just use a brute shot its pretty easy to do.

i found a new way with the choppers. u only hav to use 1 chopper. when u are goin up de side ov de rocks use de boost and the cliff u are on acts as a ramp and u can jump de gap

i could not do the grenade jump either and i got the skull before seeing this video so i didnt do it with the choppers, i used an over shield i picked up earlier in the level and it worked perfectly, so try using an over shield.

But your method, with a bit of a edit, got me the famine skull in no time. I only used on Brute chopper instead of going and getting two. I just got a running shot and used the jets to jump onto the platform.

You can turn them on when you play the champaign to add another level of difficulty to the game. One gets rid of your radar, one removes your crosshair on your gun etc. Each skull does something different :)

I used one chopper, if you go under the platform ( on the ground) to the steep cliff wall , you will see a small and a large boulder (the small boulder is left of the big boulder)you can drive between the 2 boulders right up the cliff face with the chopper and boost between the cliff and platform (you can see the gap when you look up) and vere left and you will drive onto the platform...proceed as video...much easier but thanx anyway ( I am crap at jumping! lol)

I wanted to try it the way you did in the vid.I had a hard time getting the chopper to stay and not slide off the rock.I eventually just dropped a sticky grenade and jumped when it blew.Got my achievement.Thunderstorm was much easier.

Thx this helped grnade umps are my enemy but instead of useing 2 choppers i used 2 choppers and a ghost, which i used to stady the first chopper. it only givs you one chance to get on the bridge but it is easy to do if you cant get the ramp chopper to stay on the rocks

thats the dumb way..

get the chopper to get up to the rock

then jump from the rock onto the platform

walk down to the end

throw a plasma grenade as close to the edge as possible, then jump the grenade gives a boost. it takes half the time..

That's true, grenade jumps are way faster, but a lot of people have trouble peforming them. The easiest method is deployable cover (and in a case when the player doesn't have deployable cover, s/he can use a chopper with booster, or two like in the video if you want a little challenge I suppose)

Deployable cover is the easiest way, followed by grenade jump (in my opinion). You can also use ONE chopper WITH the booster or TWO choppers without the booster. Obviously using one chopper is quicker and easier! The video just explains how to do it using two choppers, thats all.
