All because they didnt take care of him in the first place. My friends pony is like this, only worse. I have been on her for months. I am about ready to go and take the horse away if she doesnt get this done RIGHT NOW.
Thats what my ponies feet looked like when first got him. He was two then at 4 years old his feet are back to normal and arnt causeing him any unessesary strain. :)
Thanks guys for your support and for looking. This little pony is doing gr8 now. Nearly grown out a second full hoof capsule. Still getting his metabolism right....he seems to be a bit EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome),
No sign of medio laterial imbalance any more, he's a happy member of the herd, and helping my daughter along with her horsemanship.

Wow, amazing job!

Because his owner didn't understand the need for a regular trim when a horse is on soft terrain.
Basically a good human operating without instructions.

Classic lack of farrier disease caused by an inexperienced but well meaning owner.
Thanks for your comment, I'll have to post an update, the laminar wedges have grown over half way out with the new hoof wall looking pretty spesh.

Congratulations on this pony's feet! Just a question, how did they get this way?
