I really can't imagine why anyone would want to be like Johnny C. He's a homocidial maniac that suffers from frequent, crippling depressions, feels a need to paint one of the walls of his house in the blood of his victims to prevent the "Thing" on the other side of it, has a deep hatred for most of humanity and himself, and occasionally has sucidial thoughts. Even Johnny doesn't want to be Johnny. So, why would you want to be like him, again?

that is so weird. now that you say it it makes scence, but the song doesn't sound like its about wanting to be like a homicidal comic figure at all. when i heard the song at first i actually thought it was about Johnny Cash. you know, johnny C. "that attitude - i want it so bad". but i guess i was wrong, stupid little me...
How do you know that? As far as I know. JTHM didn't sing or anything. So what does the line "a voice that shook my body, you sing and girls go naughty" mean??
If you can take a closer look at the shrine thingy, they are all sketches of JTHM. Also, the song is called "I want to be like Johnny C." That's the character's name. And, the line "I killed my friends to be like Johnny" is pretty indicative of JTHM. No, Johnny didn't sing anything, but in the comics he briefly dated a girl named Devi who was intially interested in him because of the way he spoke to her.
And at one point Reverend Meat implied that there had been another girl that Johnny can't remember. I think he said something like, "It disturbs me that you do not remember the girl who gave me to you. What you did to her in her room. What she did to you." Or something like that.
