  • where did you get that shift boot? !

  • Every v8 should have a manual behind it if you're not drag racing I think. <<---------hell yeah

  • your RPM gauge isnt working

  • @hyperlite341 It works, it's just inaccurate. I disconnected it to rule out some things, but since it wasnt reading right anyway, I just left off its signal wire.

  • @KyleP133 Ah gotcha, i wonder what im going to do about my gear driven speedo, im picking up my T56 complete swap with stage 2 clutch and pro 5.0 shifter tomorrow, dreading the thought of all the work but watching this looks totally worth it! how long did it take you to do? notice power gains? and especially is it fun!?

  • @KyleP133 haha yeah damn 90-92 tachs gota love them. lol

  • @hyperlite341 If you find a working 90-92 camaro tachometer, let me know...

  • why you always shake your shifter like a penis

  • @jayguy173 Because I feel like it.

  • @jayguy173 Cause that's the correct way to make sure it's in neutral u noob.

  • A standard shell. Like talked about by you to "Bbdrew" 3 days ago. Its a body already set up for a standard tranny.

  • @AGearHead4Life Oh... yeah, definitely that makes it MUCH, MUCH easier.

  • Nice man! I put that same tranny in my 3rd gen. I love it! It seems like it just wont end on the freeway! Mine was auto though. That was a pain in my ass. I highly recommend using a standard shell.

  • @AGearHead4Life What's a standard shell?

  • How hard was it to instal that shift light into the dash?

It actually looks like it was installed from the factory lol

  • @gtakilla22 Easy... just drilled a hole barely big enough for the light in place the cig lighter. Looks great doesnt it?

  • @KyleP133 It really does!, i mean who uses the cig lighter in their car anyways? lol

  • hi, very nice car man sounds great! was it hard to install the t-56 6 speed? im planning on doing that to my 83 camaro. thanks.

  • Not much harder than installing a 5-speed. Worst part was the pedals.

  • @KyleP133 Do you know if a 5speed third-gen's pedals and everything could still be used with the t56 and make the swap easier in general?

  • @Bbdrew I used thirdgen pedals. The only problem is the peg the for the 4th gen master cylnder is a different size, so the bushing that comes with 4th gen hydraulics is too small for the third gen peg... the 3rd gen peg is stepped actually, and I think the 4th gen one is smooth. The master cylinder rod's eyelet is also thicker, so you cant use a thirdgen pedal bushing either.

What I had to end up doing was modify a thirdgen bushing and hold it on with a regular e-clip. Message me if you need

  • @KyleP133

    I see.

I've been debating selling my talon around the fall and searching for a nice t/a third gen roller and doing a T56 / LT1 swap - have always really wanted to do one. Was just always curious if it'd be worlds easier if I found a 5speed shell rather than an auto shell.

  • @Bbdrew 5 speed shell is much easier. You dont have to drill holes in the firewall, cut a hole in the trans tunnel, get a new torque arm mount, etc.... And sicne you can use third gen pedals, you'll save some money on that and the interior pieces like the console plate and shift boot and such. The T56 shifter hole needs to be 2 inches farther back though, so the stock hole will need to be extended, but the ball of the shifter is in the same spot as a T5.

  • ...ima do this tomorrow with my friend going to school and with the t-tops off. thanx for the inspiration to make another random video lol
