I am currently having some issues trying to actually use bcd3000 with Traktor........In order for the bcd3000 to work on traktor, the led light towards the top that says, "MIDI" needs to be on. I can not get that "MIDI" light on....any ideas why not???

hmm, quite a common problem but the BCD can be so unreliable it's hard to fully diagnose. First off I would re-install your ASIO drivers that came with the BCD3000.

Secondly, before turning on your MCD3000 I would turn off wi-fi on your PC/laptop (I do this all the time) and it's also worth turning off your anti-virus software as this can affect latency/performance.

So try those things and get back here if you still have problems.

@JayBesoulfool You can't do split cuing as you could by way of the hardware with the BCD2000. Dumb choice by Behringer to change that.

hey dude,

dont reckon u need the fast track pro, the bcd has an audio card built in, make sure u have all software and drivers loaded, for traktor ul need to go into user prferences and select ur audio out put as the bcd, i think it should be something like, master for channel 1 and 2, monitor for channel 3 and 4.

something like that, just make sure the monitor output is dif out put from master.

Hi m8, what efx u get depends on the software used,

the traktor le im using does have pitch lock and some efx, have never used vdj, but im sure if that software has the efx ur lookin for then ul be ok with them on the bcd.

Only things is , you may need to look up the forums to get a template to match the controls on vdj to the bcd, or you can have a go your self.

For 150 it gets you goin, is this ur first controller/ do you have any other experience of dj'n?

thats great....i recently bought some gemini decks (CDM 3600) and they are really limited in what they can do, I prefer the software DJing, for me I find it easier to mix, and to get a controller like this is obviuosly going to be easier than a keyboard and mouse!!

Also their seems to be a load of sound fx that you get with software djing, which you won't get unless u buy expensive CDJ's. Ive seen other units like this..hercules..numark but this unit looks as if it is the full package!?

Yes m8, u can split mix thru the headphones.

The response time of the eq/crossfader is as good as any midi controler, but is fairly accurate if you configure ur system to run its best!

N1! Just a couple more things, is there a keylock on the pitch control, so you don't get that really high/low pitched voice change on vocals if you need to speed a track up or slow it down? Also, do you have the ability to use a wide range of FX, particularly backspins and on virtual DJ the V2 filter?.....For £150, it seems like a good buy! Cheers

this bcd3000 is like you get what you pay for. traktor le sucks. it just wets your wistle so you could dish out another $200 for the traktor 3. i had to reconfigure the bcd300 to work with my crack version of traktor 2. the sound card sucks it frezzes my pc. i could not get it to cue. so i use my echo indigo sound card . now the shit is on the money. the bcd works great with traktor LE. but LE is very limited. im still testing this thing. for the 4th of july it will be tested really good..

I've been seriously thinking about the BCD3000... it looks to be a bit better than the hercules, mainly because it has fx controls, loop controls, etc. However, the one thing the hercules seems to have over it is that it has controls for loading the tracks from the playlist. Your use of the mouse during your performance seems to indicate the BCD can't do this... Do you just use the mouse cuz it's easier? Thanks for a great video!

Late reply, but you are right, you cant do that with the bcd 3000. You have to load them with a mouse (or your finger on a touchpad) and cannot choose them with a button in the bcd 3000. For me its not bothering though :)=

Depending on your setup, I believe audio needen't be routed through the BCD3000. You (should!) have a separate amplifier at a club, no way a computer and a MIDI controller can output that kind of power. So I think it's not true.

uh the controller has a built in SOUND card not amplifier. no matter what you use a midi controller, computer, cdj's you will always need an external amplifier or active speakers.

It come with Traktor le designed for using with the bcd 3000, this is more than capable, i have tried it with the full version of traktor but think its set up better for the le version

having problem with traktor le been using it with my new bcd 3000 for about a month then suddenly the bcd just didnt respond so i read the manual and it said to activate it so i checked in preffrences and it wasnt ativated so i double clicked it like the manual said but nothing happened been trying it over and over agen tryed uninstalling it a number of time but nothing anybody no whats wrong

when you scratch do you have to keep the button pressed down or can you tap it on and off because it would seem pretty awkward to have to hold a button down when i scratch ?

U do have 2 hold the button down m8,which is prob my biggest gripe with this, and then the crossfader dont work on traktor whilst holding it down, but then again in my opinion the bcd 3000 could never really have a decent scratch function when taking into size,design and price point- if ur looking for a midi controller to scratch try the vestax vci 100, but for mixing the bcd is just fine, smooth reliable.

I use this with Traktor 2.6. If you set the controller to Advanced mode you can press the scratch button once to enter scratch mode and again to leave scratch mode. It isn't really designed for scratching tho.
