  • Tim Russert died at 58.. "Gotcha"

  • Paul made over $157 million in earmark requests for FY 2011, one of only four House Republicans to request any earmarks. Additionally, he made over $398 million in earmark requests for FY 2010, again one of the leading Republican House members.

  • @MoDans yep sure freaking did .. why didn't your representative get you, your money back.. Federal Government was spending it anyway.. so why should Goldman Sachs get it all? why should Romania,China,Israel,Egypt,Jordan,Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Uganda,Columbia, get all your money and you get nothing??? Earmarks inside the US are Great .. they are Not Pork you insane McCain clown.. Pork is the over seas Bases and Wars and Foreign Aid ..that is the Pork! improving ports in the US is not pork.

  • @SATxChuck My representative isn't a 'Big Government liar' like Ron Paul. His excuse that "if we don't spend it, the government will spend it on something else since all the money in the budget is spent" is BULLSHIT.

If the government spends ALL the money in the Budget, explain how Bill Clinton, working in concert with a Republican-controlled Congress, was able to post Spending SURPLUSES.

Ron Paul isn't 'changing' any system he is part of the spending problem, and you are his enabler.

  • @MoDans who is your Representative? Ron Paul is the standard on which other congressmen are judged... so it doesn't surprise me when you clam up when asked who represents you.

  • @SATxChuck I didn't "clam up", you never asked.

    Russ Carnahan

  • @MoDans In 2009, Carnahan voted for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Missouri Republicans criticized Carnahan's vote, noting that passage of the bill resulted in $107 million in federal funding for Lost Creek Wind Farm, an alternative energy facility owned by Russ Carnahan's brother, Tom Carnahan. Fascist abusers of the public trust..

  • @SATxChuck Russ Carnahan was among 244 House Democrats who voted for the legislation. But officials from the Energy and Treasury departments, who jointly administer the program, said that neither Russ nor Robin Carnahan played a role in the awards.

In fact, Robin Carnahan's opponent in the Senate race, U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, was a key backer of the financial bailout bill in 2008, one of several measures that reauthorized the tax credit.

  • @SATxChuck The Lost Creek Project did proceed, and it began generating power in May. The wind farm's 100 400-foot tall turbines, situated on gently rolling farmland near King City, are feeding enough power to the grid to provide electricity to 50,000 homes. Lost Creek is the fifth wind project in Missouri that Carnahan has developed, but the only one his company owns.

  • @MoDans your whole argument is based on partisan politics. a Democrat earmarks money directly to his brother. and you are fine with it.. you will even point out the benefits of such spending.. but Ron Paul earmarks money to people he represents. and you cry bloody murder.. the fact Remains Ron Paul doesn't vote to spend money.. he does make the system work .. its just like FEMA .. he hates FEMA but while it is there. he makes it work for his district.. He is an Honest Representative.

  • @SATxChuck NO, my whole point has been that Ron Paul ATTACHES earmarks into Bills that he knows will pass without his 'Yea' vote, so he can vote AGAINST the Bill that contains HIS extra spending and then claims that he NEVER votes for earmarks. He is a two-faced liar and you are trying to shift the argument because you are wrong.

    Keep trying, but you'll fail.

  • @MoDans New York is doing stop and frisk .. Obama is killing veterans with Drug Raids on the wrong house.. oops.. there is so much more to condemn then a Congressmen working within the system to get his district funding.. i am done with you.. i have exposed your guy as a fascist who earmarked directly to his brother.. i have exposed the head of your party Obama as a Bomber of American children. and Deporter of American children.. you got nothing on Ron Paul. you just need to hate the Good Guy

  • @SATxChuck You're an idiot. Russ Carnahan did NOT propose the Act, he voted for it. The sponsor was Harry Reid and Carnahan wasn't even one of the 17 co-sponsors. Russ Carnahan has NO connection to any earmark involving the Recovery Act. Yet, RON PAUL requested funds from it after he voted against it. HYPOCRITE.

You haven't exposed anything other than your total lack of knowledge.

I'm getting tired of engaging in a duel of wits with an unarmed man, are you done looking foolish yet?

  • @MoDans I hate taxes and i am going to file every year for every cent i am OWED . you can cry till you are blue in the face about how that makes me a Hypocrite. Its the system .. i will oppose the system but while i am forced to live under it ..i am going to work it.. don't be stupid and isolate yourself from Government .. Become the Government.

  • @SATxChuck I have NO idea what your point is in that post. We benefit from government regulations and programs, we ALL own that government , and we ALL pay Taxes to support that government. Some of us pay a higher Tax Rate than others, but that is because the Rich can afford to pay Lobbyists.

  • @SATxChuck Scores of Republicans and conservative Democrats who voted against the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act subsequently wrote letters requesting funds for projects in a massive, behind-the-scenes letter-writing and phone call campaign, documents obtained by the Center show.

Those asking for money include Tea Party favorites like freshman Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., former presidential candidates RON PAUL ..Keep trying

  • @MoDans Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights, your guy is one of the people who sent Money to Kenya to teach people to wash their balls. HAHAH.. Ron Paul is the best and your guy is a pest.

  • @SATxChuck Yes, he IS on Foreign Affairs Committee(with Ron Paul), but also the Transportation and Infrastructure, and Veterans' Affairs. Carnahan's earmarks have benefitted Mo, Ill, Iowa, California and other US states. His earmarks for local projects have had GOP co-sponsors. He has NEVER proposed a single earmark for foreign interests. Don't make assumptions on par with your intelligence. You only look worse.

  • @MoDans he handed his brother 107 million dollars. your guy is a fascist. Ron Paul voted against the Reinvestment act and all its fascist intent.

  • @SATxChuck And, your sources would be.....?

  • @SATxChuck WHERE is your original post, "In 2009, Carnahan voted for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009"?

We're talking about proposing EARMARKS, not voting record. Typical conservative, when you can't prove your point, you shift the direction of the debate.

  • @SATxChuck YOUR GUY IS A LIAR. Ron Paul voted against the Act, yet HE ASKED FOR FUNDS.

Those asking for money include Tea Party favorites like freshman Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., former presidential candidates Ron Paul and John McCain and Republican congressional leaders like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana.

  • @MoDans you put Ron Paul and John McCain in the same Sentence.. you fail troll. you are one of those Fascist working for Billionaires. opposing Ron Paul because he would end their fascism. Obama Bombed American CHildren.. he deported American Children.. get a CLUE... Fascism is ok unless you kill jews?? we can kill 500thousand Iraqi Children with Sanctions and Bombs .. no problem. F YOU .. you are on the wrong side of the issue. Period. end of story. you are a Fascist Terrorist Judeo-Nutcase

  • @SATxChuck ?? I could put windmills and lawn chairs in the same sentence, what would THAT prove? You are REALLY stretching to absolve Ron Paul's hypocrisy.

BTW, I've been called worse by a MUCH better class of people. Besides, I support ending the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthy, so you still are clueless.

First, you claim I defend Democrats then you claim I defend the Rich. Are you getting dizzy from turning 180's yet? You ARE some piece of work.

  • "... you know it's going to pass Congress... " what a revolting human being. On what does Tim base such an accusation? I am so tired of people accepting this dishonest, fraudulent story-telling in the name of journalism. RON PAUL 2012

  • @durashka123 "On what does Tim base such an accusation"? Documented History.

  • @MoDans its just establishment gotcha BS.. every earmark Ron Paul put in was for Americans.. he didn't earmark hundreds of thousands of dollars for Kenya to learn how wash their balls.. or to build homes in Israel.. or to fund a school in Egypt.. everything Ron Paul did was for Americans.. who does your guy fund?? do they just take your tax money and export it.. or do they get it back to you?

  • LOL what a total charlatan this punk Paul is. This guy is such a fraud.

  • Ron Paul is a faux-con. His acolytes are automatons that worship the Head Ronulan. Now start the bashing mindless Paulbots.

  • @abaldguycreation You're going to have to be more subtle with your trolling if you really want to get people going.

  • Ron Paul is one effeminate little man!

  • @antiquefeminist He'll kick your ass.

  • The moron wants guns and heroin in classrooms, he's a simple minded liar.

  • Yes but, hasn't government tried to take those away from the school kid, and it's only gotten worse?

  • Worse than what?

  • Can someone explain how the executive office gets the money appropriated if they are not earmarked? I am under the impression EARMARKS appropriate the money. Could someone correct me if I am wrong?

  • You are right, that is the purpose of earmarks. It doesn't add on anything to a spending bill, it actually lessens the amount that the executive branch gets to spend their own way. Like Ron said, he never votes for a spending bill, but if its going to pass, at least let the people know where the money is going, by appropriating (earmarking) it, instead of sending it all to the executive branch. If we earmarked everything, there would be no confusion as to what the money is being used for!

  • He doesn't want the money to be spent. But if it has to be spent, he tries to put it to the best possible use. If we only had voluntary term limits all the good guys will be turned over and the bad ones will not volunteer to end their stay in congress.

  • They can't stand it when one of their own is actually asked a tough question. Notice how the video only has three stars? He was a very good journalist and always asked good questions.

  • Yeah, but he was biased you idiot. If you can't realize that this is a hit piece than you're an idiot.

  • No he wasn't. Link me to a video where he gives a liberal a pass on his show.

  • Ron Paul got owned.

  • It disappoints me that Tim was'nt on Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich's side.

  • Tim Russert was the best journalist on TV. He asked tough questions to everyone. Today, tough questions come from partisan interviewers and the fairly neutral ones throw softballs. America lost a good man in Tim Russert.

  • tim russert spews hatred at ron paul

  • Russert was a nother idiot

  • designed to keep you lied to, distracted from the truth & this warped, greed driven corrupt system going.

Ron Paul should be the next president of the USA but NEVER WILL BE because "The System" is totally "broken".

    Decriminalizing all drugs.

Tax them and provide healthcare for all. Offer more treatment & education than MORE PRISONS & ignorance. Gov deals drugs anyways & wants then expensive - USA - the worlds biggest drug money launderer 500billion to a trillion a year = THE CIA.

  • Ronnie Paul is a maverick, sort of. Don't forget he's an anti-abort god-freak who knows where his bread is (veg) buttered.

He has to know the primary system doesn't count votes (or he'd be president) but he will never say so.

  • No you have the right mindset but ideas arent that fine. Yes drugs should be illegalized but they shouldnt be taxed. Even if they were taxed, it wouldnt afford healthcare. The Government needs to take restrictions out of healthcare then prices will go down. Thats what Ron Paul would do if he was President.

  • He died?

  • hahaha yea he did....what a lil neocon fart

  • I have no respect for Russert rest in hell, now you wish you to the red pill..lol

  • You're disgusting.

  • ron paul is right ppl who lives in an area that floods every year should not keep getting bailed out they need to move

  • dude, this is an ideal show, russert and paul. these guys rule

  • I cant believe they HAD RON PAUL on TV! HOLY MOLY! WOOOOT! MILLIONS LOVE RON PAUL! We are waking up and they are FREAKING OUT

  • thanx Ron, My mom is the hardest working person I know at almost 50 and the amount ofmoney our Canadian government takes in taxes is crippling, I cant even imagine how hard it must be in the states having to afford health insurance to. its very motivating to see a congressman trying to get the people some money back instead of using it for rich people's intrests.... ifI was american I'd voteron paul.. here I vote CAP

  • the media is a joke!

any of you who take it serious are clueless.

media is owned by corporate interests.

  • It's not unfair. Paul does have responsibilities to his constituents, and that should have been the extent of his defense. If you're coming on to a show to debate, and you know the host is going to be doing research, you need to evaluate your positions and know where the inconsistencies lie. All politicians are inconsistent, because they all have to pander to every interest in their constituency, unless they want to piss off half of their district.

  • Funny how Russert criticizes Paul for accepting a gnat while everyone around him are swallowing camels. Yes, that's unbiased reporting all right.

    -Hugo

  • If Paul didn't do any of this, he wouldn't be doing his job as a Congressman representing his district. He is against the system, but why let them spend the money somewhere else. How could anyone get reelected not doing their job? Russert never was so aggressive with neocon interviewees, why did he act like that with Ron Paul then?

  • but paul didn't explain his position on spending in his district very well. i think he did great on the question of term-limits: "i never supported VOLUNTARY term-limits". in that case its easy to explain and understand the difference between a public policy position and ones position on unilateral/individual action.

  • it's perfectly consistent to have different policies for unilateral action and legislative/collective action on an issue. there is nothing inconsistent about wanting social security ended as a federal program, and yet taking the benefits while it still exists. there is nothing inconsistent about being against pork-barrel spending in congressional districts, and yet taking that money while that practice still exists. Russert was right to question Paul about it, and Paul right in his position

  • Tim Russert exposed Ron Paul and his slimy tactics to get the very things he was running against. Tim Russert is a true journalist.

  • wrong

  • Tim makes no sence. He is just trying to envoke negitive base emotional feelings on his viewers aganst Ron Paul.

  • yup, that is what TV does. ROn Pual should have been more prepared to refute, paper documents. What would Russert say, these documents are fraud. They don't count? Asshole Russert.

  • Makes no sense? Paul rails against a big federal government yet he has no problem bringing home the bacon to his district.

    HYPOCRIT!!!

  • You still don't get it.

    1. He OPPOSE big government.

    2. He get request to put ear marks in so he does because he has been asked to do.

    3. He vote against the spending bill because of his principle.

    4. If the bill passes DESPITE his NO vote, of course he will take the money back to his district.

A hypocrite will do #1 but will not do #3. Only a moron will do #1, 2 and 3 but do not do #4.

  • Dumb ass, Let me explain again. He has to. It's his job. That's what he is elected to do. Ron Paul is the least criminal here and Tim Russert is not too smart.

  • Least criminal? lol that sounds great. There is no way Paul or any other third party candidate is going to win this November. As for Tim Russert, he's smarter than your fucking dumb ass.

  • Dead people, preforming cognition? HOLY FUCK!

  • no tim is not,, hes dead,,wormshit now,,

  • Tim had ZERO valid points.

  • @fringlishman Russert caught him dead to rights. Paul is a conman.

  • @MoDans what? Earmarks is how Congress spends the money.. just hating on the best guy in Politics..

  • @SATxChuck Earmarks are extra projects (SPENDING) that are attached to Bills and Proposals. Your "best guy in Politics" is a two-faced liar. HE adds earmarks to Bills, votes against the Bills knowing they will pass, and then claims that he never votes for earmarks even though he has been using them for years.

Reality is nice, try it sometime.

  • @MoDans Ron Paul never voted for a spending bill that was unbalanced. including the "Balanced Budget" where Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton Looted the Social Security Surplus ..

  • @SATxChuck "never voted for a spending bill that was unbalanced"?

PROVE IT. Your opinion means nothing.

  • @MoDans that is the proof.. Russet is saying "yes you voted no ..but you put earmarks in the bill" MORON. if you are going to hate on Ron Paul at least be honest.

  • @SATxChuck WHAT PROOF? You can't be that stupid.

  • @MoDans at 2:46 Russet says "You vote against them but.." but nothing.. he votes against all unbalanced spending.

  • @fringlishman Zero valid points except the truth, which the GOP sheeples can't recognize.

  • Tim is a FAT PIG SLIMEBALL

    with ZERO credibility

    Meet the CFR PRESS

  • Correction.

Tim WAS a fat pig slimeball

  • @immumezombie Nice, real nice. But, you are a Ron Paul enabler, so what possible bias would YOU have?

  • Why the fuck is it that NO ONE EVER EVER!! lets ron paul speak...they fucking over run him and speak OVER him so he hardley ever gets to say HIS side...fuck...god dammed neo con. i got one sentence, "FUCK NEW WORLD ORDER." fuck that fat goverment lackey piece of lying SHIT, Ron Paul dammit get out there kick that ass and win this mother fucking election so we NEVER have to see another lousey piece of SHIT like this ever again.

  • At 4:10, in response to Paul's statement that term limits are not a solution, that a philosophy of government is needed, Tim stupidly asks "but if you believe in the philosophy of term limits, why wouldn't you voluntarily [unintelligible]?" Tim, term limits are not a philosophy, they are one specific attempt to limit the power of government. Compared to strictly limiting government to its Constitutional role, term limits are minor. Ron Paul has a philosophy and practices it. Tim doesn't.

  • Term limits are another way for politicians to get paid without having to do any work. When they are "retired from office" they continue to collect the same pay each year as if they were in office. This golden fleece benefit shows greed in politics. Retire them without benefits so they are forced to get a real job!

  • TIM RUSSIAN

  • tim is gay

  • This is a completely fictional attack on Ron Paul with no real dirt able to be dug up by this Russert character, who is apparently just a neo-con attack dog idiot.

  • forgive him, he cannot stand mr ro paul

he knows mr ron is comeing for all of

    them,it is about time,

  • - you mean, Tim Russert exposed during his interview with Ron Paul, don't you?

  • Anyone who quotes "Facts" from the Wall street journal is lost. Any media owned my Rupert Murdoch CANNOT be trusted. Watch "outfoxed" on google video for the truth about FoxNews and the Mainstream media. YOU WILL BE ASTONISHED!!!!!

  • I have *never* seen any other candidate that has been cut off in the middle of a sentence more than Ron Paul. These guys come to the interview unprepared and as soon as RP starts handing them their heads, they scurry off to a new topic.

  • Huckabee's one-day fundraiser = $95,000

    Ron Paul's one-day fundraiser = $6.2 Million

    Who is the front-runner?

  • Its soo obvious. Dr Paul is doing his job. Listen to the taz credit scenario Tim, you idiot Gees. Tim was owned. What? the Wall Street Journal said what? Didnt Murdock just purchase WSJ? Such a feeble attempt for a setup. Notice how he changed the subject as he was losing.

    RP 08

  • I LOVE when CHODES like Tim Russert try to 'expose' people like Ron Paul, but what these DOUCHENOZZLES fail to realize is that they can't win in a debate or argument with him, because he is right as right can be on just about all issues.

It is hard to find 'dirt' on Ron, but there isn't anything there, so stop trying main stream media.

Trying to debate and argue with Ron Paul is like trying it with Milton Friedman. Good Luck.

  • lol, i wonder if Russert ever asked George W Bush about Halliburton and all the no bid contracts he handed out to his buddies. Paul fights for his people and the constitution, thats why we need him as president.

  • This just shows that Ron knows the system so well that he knows how to make it work for ppl in his district. I would rather have a representative who can get my hard earned dollars back to me than just wishing that bureacrates "bless" us the money. Actually, it just shows how clever Ron is! And media is trying to denifrate just bcuz he beta the system at its own game...ridiculous! Go Ron Paul!

  • OH My God!!!!! As of today the American people raised $18,836,786.00. And still going up. We all want change. And the only one that's going to change it, is Ron Paul.

  • If all earmarks were eliminated we would not necessarily save a single penny in the federal budget. Because earmarks are funded from spending levels that have been determined before a single earmark is agreed to, with or without earmarks the spending levels remain the same. Eliminating earmarks designated by Members of Congress would simply transfer the funding decision process to federal bureaucrats rather then elected representatives.

  • it's funny when you try to bring up old news.

Also, the reason you even know who turned in the earmarks is because of a bill Ron Paul voted for that now puts a congressman's name on an earmark.

The earmarks that Tim mentioned were before this bill was even passed. Ron Paul's office released those earmarks to a media request, UNLIKE MOST OF THE OTHER CONGRESSMEN.

  • Ron Paul is trying to get them to stop stealing our money, but until they stop stealing our money, Ron Paul tries to get some of our stolen money back.

    RonPaul2008 dot com

  • The media absolutely hates the idea of a smaller government. Amazing.

  • rofl. they payed their taxes so why wouldnt he fight for getting the money back to his district. That is what he was elected for.

Please just stop you dont understand anything.
