Nothing wrong with volunteering, however there is something dreadfully wrong with the idea that people should be mandated to volunteer which is what many extremist would like to see happen. No one should feel pressure into volunteering, and volunteering especially for college and high school students should always be free will not mandated, nor should it be used to manipulate a persons political views which sadly is often the type of volunteering colleges and high schools often push.
