He looked like just a normal guy with green RPG like gun on his shoulder.

Red Alert 2 Desolators are cool in apperance but they attack like shit.

Now, Red Alert 3 Desolators are now armed with chemical weaponry. And they are twice tougher, meaner and eviler than the original.

Yea but Ra2 desolators are hard to describe how they actually look like. Well units in RA2 were pixelated so realistic look didn't matter that much.

I loved their secondary though, but its quite wierd that they don't turn into green waste eventhough their clothes are made out of cloth, and they don't have the suit to protect them.

Also a wierd fact about RA3 desolators is that the soviets haven't found out a way to remove their suits without killing them.

Another weird thing about the Desolator is its chemical suit in one of the pictures. Haven't you observe the appearance especially the head? How come it doesn't have an open portion of the suit. It can't see.

I'll clear this one out! Observe them in comparison..

RA 2 Desolator

1. Radiation-type weaponry

2. Can kill infantry and damage vehicles will little damage.

3. They can deploy their radiation cannons and spread out more radioactive materials to the surface.

RA 3 Desolator

1. Chemical/Toxic based weaponry

2. Can also melt down enemy infantry with toxins (Deathspray Hose) and switches to Splattershot mode to fire corrosive acids.

3. Can destroy buildings and garrisons.

WARNING! RA3 Desolator Trooper > RA2 Desolator in terms of health and armor. RA3 versions of them can take a mighty beating, they're troublesome to most infantry and vehicles, but they can be kill instantly by Tesla weapons or Wave Force technology, Shinobi can best them.

ra3 uses toxic, so its like acid that burns through anything.

because it was cooler, the old desolator instant kills infantry unit with one quick shot, can spread area with radiation preventing enemy from traveling nearby, costume looks cooler. ra3 desolator move slowly, takes a while from the spray to reach enemys, can't spread toxic around, their costume looks like its from bioshock's 'big daddy'

this one isn't even worthy of infantry green goo on the boots of old Desolator. Liquid radiation isn't very believable nor cool.

Rad gun had great range, cool sound effect and could not miss. Not to mention devastating ground poisoning. Great against both infantry and tank clusters.

shhhhh!!!! that's their biggest secret. it's meant to infiltrate, let's say, futuretech. when a tanks gas runs out they come and say, wuld ur liek sume gas doede? the fill the fuel tank of the vehicle and watch it melt :D
