third person guns are generally inaccurate - the camera isn't truly a proper third person camera

There's a checkbox in the options menu that allows you to use ranged weapons from the third person view rather than first person.

That's Nevvier's colosseum map which is based on the duel arena rules. It's a map that players use to spar against each other to practice their skills. There is a US Central server up right now that is hosting the normal duel arena map.
