  • this guys fuckin nuts, but awesomee

  • He was a risk-taker all the way to the end. R.I.P.

  • i think this is the first video ive seen with 0 dislikes, now hopefully someone wont be a jackass and click on it just because i pointed it out

  • This was the first clip I've ever seen of his. Great man!

  • Punk bitch ass stingray.

  • @unlimited647096 Stingray just did what it does. Steve knew that too.

  • rip steve

  • Just saw a wanna be here on You Tube. Steve was one of a kind. He put TONS of warnings and knew when to stop. Well... One thing his death shows is it only takes one mistake. Look at Roy Horn. YEARS of experience and he knew his animals well. Love S&R but it shows the risk. They said that themselves many times. NO macho egos. Thats why I respect them and their real love of animals never left them. Dont kill the tiger. Roy asked. That says it all.

  • The Mojave is perhaps the most agressive and poisonous snakes in the country. Irwin must have had a special mental connection with deadly snakes because anyone else doing that would have been in serious trouble. A bite from one of these will either guarantee an amputation or death. Each year I believe there are a handful of deaths attributed to this critter. I miss Steve too. He seemed like a very dedicated person and someone who was a lot of fun....well, if you like his kind of fun. LOL

  • @louietheiceaxe "Most aggressive" is a relative term as venomous snakes are generally very non-aggressive. There can be some variation in their personalities and their hormones, but for the most part they are all reluctant to bite as venom is costly to produce. If Steve can establish himself as not being a threat the snake will be even more hesitant to use its venom on him.

  • I never had anything agains't Steve Irwin, and I'm sorry he's dead. But when you go around handling animals you SHOULDN'T BE, it's only a matter of time before your luck runs out.

  • Steve loved his job.

  • Been working with rattlesnakes for a few years now...I still can't imagine EVER...EVER doing that. lol go stevo! RIP

  • The legend! My hero....R.I.P Stevo!

  • I have friends that handle rattlesnakes but they do not have the gift Steve had, not even close. I really miss Steve Irwin a lot, he has no equal when it comes to animals. RIP

  • Steve Irwin, the only man who ever wrestled Chuck Norris to a draw. RIP.

  • Steve Irwin was the one who taught me to respect snakes and see the beauty of them watching his show growing up- like no other.

  • Steve was great.. But he a bit too fearless.

  • I remember watching this episode when it was first released, and I was absolutely amazed. I live in the mojave desert and while hiking I have come across these snakes regularly, but I would never do what Steve did. I miss this guy greatly. Ya, and I'd echo his statement. Never touch a rattler!!!

  • SUCKS HE DIED

  • RIP.

  • "never touch a rattler" 20 seconds later hes picking it up XD

  • @jmak805

One of my favourite Steve Irwin lines is: "crikey, that sure nearly nearly killed me. Let's follow it." :D

  • Free handleing a mojave rattlesnake (wich is ten times more deadly than taking a hit from a western diamond back) wich he happens just to come upon isn't a wise thing to do, even by a pro herpatologist. When he was holding that snake by the tail, it could of turned around on him for no reason and WAPP!!! I new a guy who just got a small scratch from the fang of a mojave and he nearly died, A cat SCRATCH, not a puncture from the fang, and he was in a coma for ten days.

  • @Race2211 True but Steve was handled venomous snakes from the time he was only a young kid and he never ever took a bite from one. I reckon he knew what he was doing. Steve Irwin was the master at Snake handling.

  • @SaveTheSnakes Actually Troy, Steve was bitten and envenomated on a couple of occasions, but they never made the TV.

He also took a bite on the fingernail by a small Death Adder on one of his latest documentaries.

  • I enjoyed watching Steve......But let me inform you about most of his handlelings with the deadly snakes like the green mojave in this video. This and most all the other vids are Pre set up with the animals; He doesn't just stumble upon them like they would have you believe. That snake was probably captured some time earlier and cooled down a bit. Yes Steve was a pro in handling venomous snakes but wasn't STUPID! and take deathly risk. This snake would kill ya with one bite.

  • I catch rattlesnakes too, but I recall distinctly the first of his shows I ever saw. It was about 3 am. After watching for a few minutes I thought to myself "this guy is going to die someday doing this stuff." Unfortunately I was right and it wasn't ever a snake that did him in. I really seeing him and miss his ambasadorship for nature. RIP Steve.

  • A snake can't hurt him anyways when it attempts to bite those steel balls.

  • i miss his shows also.. i enjoyed the snake episodes..

  • wow that man was truly magical noone in the world could pick a snake up like that without being bitten. but steve had nerves of steel and more importantly a connection with every animal on the planet i miss him alot RIP steve. guy is amazing.

  • @mistabiggz16 - No one in the world? We pick snakes like that up all the time! < - The REAL Desert Dogs

  • @mistabiggz16 i wont even go near it,

  • @mistabiggz16 Well, every animal but one.
