it can run cod4 right away if you get the mac version no need to upgrade our you can do what i did and install windows via bootcamp which gives you a broader range of games that you can play but you have to install the drivers using the osx disc once you install windows and from there youll be able to play any game thats out for windows warning even though the 9400m is a strong gpu for what it is you cant max all your games so stick to the 9600gt and you will be fine.

I used it for gaming and it was horrible on a system I built myself. Even with the latest updates I always got the blue screen of death and it eats up your ram like you wouldn't believe. They do include 64-bit version of Windows Vista... Where the hell did you get the idea that they're not? Plus if they're not, I can manage to find a disk from a friend or the internet of the same edition I have and use the same key and approve it as a Genuine copy. 64/32-bit Serials are same :-)

hmmm ive updated my 9400m driver and im running on 1024 by 768 with extra texture detail, full texture filtering, soften smok edges, ragdolls on, glow on, depth of field on well literally almost everything on except anti aliasing and its pretty smooth when it comes to the 'desert mission' but laggy during the SAS mission which takes place in the jungle
go to texture settings and you should see the word texture followed by automatic if u were to click automatic and change it to manual you will then see the option of manually adjusting the texture detail to extra

maybe but not really ive done my research the led makes the screen brighter and more vibrant but its more the gloss coated glass screen dont believe me go to a retail store like best-buy look at a regular backlight screen then look at the same backlight screen with the gloss coat and i guarantee the gloss coat will look better over all and for some reason the makers no this cause it costs extra to buy a lcd tv or computer screen with gloss coating because the gloss prevents anti glaring.
the LED has more to do with it than the glass tho.. it will still look relatively the same with a matte screen. and the gloss coat looks better because humans are attracted to shiny things like kittens are attracted to balls of yarn.

you need to check what soundcard u have on ur macbook under windows. go into device management and check what soundcard u have. chances are, u have a on board soundcard. u just need to go to the manufacturer's website and install drivers. u can also pop in ur leopard dvd and get the drivers off there.

They do include 64-bit version of Windows Vista... Where the hell did you get the idea that they're not? Plus if they're not, I can manage to find a disk from a friend or the internet of the same edition I have and use the same key and approve it as a Genuine copy. 64/32-bit Serials are same :-)

I'm a die hard pc user myself thats all I really game with I just did the video to show how well the macs can play games using a windows op sys the reason you pay so much for a mac is because the company is a proprietary base company they build their own computers and create their own software were as Microsoft only makes software as far as pc's are concerned you wont find a Microsoft pro note book with windows vista and honestly in my unix aka osx is a better put together opsys than windows.

hmmm ive updated my 9400m driver and im running on 1024 by 768 with extra texture detail, full texture filtering, soften smok edges, ragdolls on, glow on, depth of field on well literally almost everything on except anti aliasing and its pretty smooth when it comes to the 'desert mission' but laggy during the SAS mission which takes place in the jungle

go to texture settings and you should see the word texture followed by automatic if u were to click automatic and change it to manual you will then see the option of manually adjusting the texture detail to extra

Correct and I do already own a couple of pc's with way better specs but I just bought it and threw it in the bag at the end of the day I dont really think about prices when I buy things if I want it I buy it's that simple not saying im a millionaire or anything like that but if I can afford to buy it I buy it no questions.

maybe but not really ive done my research the led makes the screen brighter and more vibrant but its more the gloss coated glass screen dont believe me go to a retail store like best-buy look at a regular backlight screen then look at the same backlight screen with the gloss coat and i guarantee the gloss coat will look better over all and for some reason the makers no this cause it costs extra to buy a lcd tv or computer screen with gloss coating because the gloss prevents anti glaring.

the LED has more to do with it than the glass tho.. it will still look relatively the same with a matte screen. and the gloss coat looks better because humans are attracted to shiny things like kittens are attracted to balls of yarn.

Like I said before... I can't start the game... I installed it right but it just won't start. Coz the 1st time your running this game the console will appear to set up the settings but mine has a problem coz the error said if i made sure i installed my direct X right or my sound driver... But i installed my direct X right.

you need to check what soundcard u have on ur macbook under windows. go into device management and check what soundcard u have. chances are, u have a on board soundcard. u just need to go to the manufacturer's website and install drivers. u can also pop in ur leopard dvd and get the drivers off there.

One of the only reasons that i buy form apple is the over all quality of there machines. i have had soo many pc's and they all lasted for 3 weeks lol. my macbook is 2 years old and still runs as fast as it did on day one =]

i don't think so. when in crossover, its running within a mac osx software but in bootcamp its like ANY other pc. so if u want to play games, install windows vista or windows 7.

The old macbooks come with a shitty intel video card. the new ones come with Nvidea 9400m that is compatible with the new generation computer games like DIABLO 3 that is coming out!! i have a old macbook like you and i hate it cuz i have this shitty video card:( hope this helps

I heard that alienware is like a little toy car that has a supercharger in it. thats a good thing but they say that it only lasts about 3-4 years because its like cramming so much latest tech into a small laptop. macbooks hav the longest lifespan in all notebook history!!

3-4 years is good for a windows laptop to survive, specially a hardcore gaming one, since the stress on the fan, graphics card, and all components. alienware are amazing gaming laptops.
