5'7" is not small for a girl. What are you used to Amazon women? LOL
She does have a very nice forehand though, very compact, very simple and good weight transfer. That said, all asian girls hit the ball almost identically. That's always seemed amazing to me.
@hi10spro you remind me of my old college tennis coach doug eng....he got fired...he had autism and spoke weirdly just like you....and he also, like you, took way too much of an interest in tennnis and had no life, yet still couldnt teach or interact with people, which is why he got fired...the way you speak and talk about tennis brings back his memory
@climz1989 AHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA you know absolutely nothing about me but obviously you are not very good--you got video of yourself playing--post it...and talk on it. see what people say. you'll love it. oh i'm blocking you too. have a good day
It would be nice to see her hit the ball a little bit more ahead of her boddy line. I like the extended arm going forward. Good hip rotation and weight transfer. She can improve it a little bit more though, would certainly be a killer forehand. Tired of seeing pros with extremely western forehand grips and bent arms hitting wind shield wiper way.... Great videos and analysis as usual buddy! keep it up!
@lu5dx I agree. I feel like the basics are beginning to die. I hit an Eastern grip, and I've never had problems achieving spin. Swinging like Nadal only really works for very few people. The basics work for everyone.
@hi10spro sharopova is actually about the healthiest weight tennis player se isnt big...she is tall but she ways like 60-70 kilograms and she is like 180-90 cm tall...She is skinny and muscular.
@jimmyclaus1 you're about to be slammed by everyone so I approved this. 1) what am I talking about. 2) Del Potro, Querry, Isner, Berdych all 6'5" and above. You play a legit guy that's 6'6"...and you are at a disadvantage Mr. 5'11" brain about 3 grams...
@jimmyclaus1 so u would beat del potro he is 1,98m or 6.49foot.... u have no idea of tennis...just cause some1 is taller than 6 does that mean u are faster loool noob.....
@jimmyclaus1 lol the days of hewitt and chang are over buddy!! when was the last guy to be under 6 foot and stay at number 1 for at least a year??????
@queenofcourt whoa...that's an interesting idea...but i think more accurately normally, the monster chicks can't move...that's where serena is truly a physical specimen...she's huge but moves so well...athleticism...wow and she looks fat, but she's solid
That is Tomoko Yonemura, a Japanese player. Today she is ranked 196; career high is 148 in 2009. She has won 7 ITF titles in her career. Due to her ranking, she plays mainly 50Ks, and plays a most of the events in Japan. Most recently, she lost in the 2nd round of qualifying for the WTA Tour even in Pattaya, Thailand. Good luck, Tomoko-san.
I thought she was really good. I did...she played this little caucasian girl...that just killed her...the score was like 6-1, 6-1...i was kind of bummed because I sat next to her in the stands, she was talking to her friend, she seemed really nice, polite, and very down to earth...she got up and said I have to warm up for my match..next thing I know she's on court...and i was like HOLY...
well if you're talking about women's pro tennis then you're wrong. look at all the good women pro's how they hit their forehands. safina, the williams, kuznetsova almost all of them have relatively large swings on their forehands and hit the ball as hard as possible because they lack strength, this girls swing seems quite compact to me.
women...normal asian women. about five feet 3 and 100 lbs... safina is a BIG girl... the williams are BIGGER girls. kuznetsova is a BIG girl. these are very strong, STRONG women. how about someone with less physical gifts....
@Nalby101 Her arm is slightly bent on impact, but other than that, her extension long and the swing is overall a nice long swing that looks like it has a great flight pattern and really penetrates the court.
this is not a good example of a forehand, if you want a good example put roger federer, rafael nadal, or for that matter any pro in the top 200 cuz they all have better forehands than her
yeah, but if you're a thin, short, little girl...how in the world are you going to hit like Nadal...or even Roger...Roger is a broad shoulder, big man...this is for the normal people...you know everyman
big wind up though...she actually got tuned in this match... like 6-1, 6-2.. but i liked her stroke, plus she's a thin, lithe girl so it's duplicateable.
Hey, uh what stance is best for a forehand topspin? and can i have some tips on how to handle a topspin shot bounced really deep onto my forehand side??
hmm... I like when your left foot is in front of your right foot, but not, not crossed over so you can transfer power/weight into the shot. you might have to back up and catch it as the bounce is lower OR on the rise, but on the rise is rough.
the sound of the shot... some people can really compress a ball--total transfer of power to the ball. I heard roddick serve in person, it's like a cannon
I notice alot of professional tennis players not only lean to their right foot, but they will also plant the weight on their outside foot before they hit the ball. (in her case her right foot for her forehand)
Awesome vid! Btw your voice reminds me of the narrator of the bad ass honey badger lol
