John is using a regular skater tied on with a regular turle knot. He doesn't ever hitch his flies - if they are tied well and you fish them correctly, they will skate.
I am certain that John did not use any tube flies in this video.
Hi - do you know whether he is using a hitch tube fly (hole part way down the fly's tube body) or simply skating a regular fly with a hitch knot on it? Or again, simply skating a regular fly tied on with regular knot?
