@ozonic91 the Nissan Altima has a CVT transmission which works similar to an automatic (in the way that it has P, R, N, D) but it doesnt actually change gears like an automatic, it has an infinite number of gears so the engine stays at a constant RPM. This gives you better MPG than even a manual transmission.

@koglowa No, it didn't even hit the redline, if it had it would have hit the rev limiter. Regardless, modern engines can run all day at full throttle in top gear.

I can't believe how many ignorant people comment on cars they know nothing about. I'll just assume they own kias or hyundais or their mom and dad do just to make up for their ignorance. I hit 145mph and 0-60 in 7.5 seconds no problem on a test drive with a 2010 2.5S Sedan. It did great, but I wanted more so I just bought a 3.5. Turns out that CVT is pretty damn sweet.

@nitro2050 Well, too bad you're wrong. The CVT manual mode is just a set of fake pre-set gears created by the people that made the transmission. When you shift in manual mode, it stays in the same gear since the CVT has only one, it just changes the RPMs.

Looks like the top speed of your Altima is 225km/h. Pretty good. I've never driven past 200km/h. My best time was 195km/h.
