The accused is Maries friends Uncle. It is public knowledge that he had sexual offenses against him prior to the murder, why did the friend not warn Marie that her Uncle was dodgy? At the time there was nothing strange (to my knowledge) about him helping everyone with the mising person posters so it appears he was very much part of her nieces life, why was this animal allowed near any girls to begin with?
