Very nice...I borrowed the first Lumines from my friend for 2 weeks and got to 79 I think. I wish I had this skill level. Great job! I was just trying to catch up to my friend (132 I think) within those 2 weeks but now if I ever get the game, I know what to do now! :P

hey, a lot of ppl ask what your highest scores are for misc. lumines modes but i was wondering, if you wouldnt mind answering, whats the lowest time attack score youve gotten in, say, the last month that you can remember?

well i play most of my runs so im sure ive gotten an incredibly low score cuz i stop playing halfway through or something but still let it run lol. but a run ive actually played through and finished id say somewhere in the 140-50s, which usually happens when im talking to someone or watching tv or whatever while also playing

couple questions:

1. how long does it take you to reach 999999 in challenge mode?

2. is there some kind of guide or some shit i could look at to see what king of patterns i need to look for?

well 999,999 is the max for lumines 1 so im assuming thats what you're referring to. honestly, i never tried to do it as fast as i possibly could because its just too long, but the fastest i can remember when i was making all my top scores the max was 44 or 46 minutes...

and if u mean 9,999,999 which is the max for the other lumines games, i have never been able to reach it in challenge mode. but i have done it in skin edit mode - endless, and that took somewhere around 2 hrs. very boring =P

thx for replying. yea, i was talking about lumines 1, but since i've made that comment i've hacked my psp and downloaded lumines 2. well, do you have any advice for improving at clearing as many blocks as possible in one sweep? i've read most of your comments on the various gamefaqs lumines boards, so please don't say "play more challenge mode and experiment." :P

also, i was wondering if you had any strats for vs cpu mode. on lumines 1 i consistently get to level 10 and die. i seem to get unlucky and get 4-5 checkered blocks consecutively, nearly every time.

as im sure u know how the vs system works, it is definitely better to delete several blocks each consecutive pass than deleting a lot in one pass and only a few on the next. other than that i cant really help u with beating the cpu. as for maximizing clearance in any particular pass...

a couple things:

-do your absolute best to focus on only one color each pass

-avoid creating a checkerblock pattern with the board that remains after the deletes clear

-improve drop speed (one way to do this is learn to rotate in both directions)

-watch more videos of people that are closer to your level (if u arent doing so already)

and bottom line: every block counts, and its position and orientation will affect each block that comes after it.
