I don't have movie maker (and I don't know what it can do), but you can do a lot with traditional animation techniques. After all, there have been some pretty amazing examples of animation that happened without computers involved at all. Don't let your creativity get smashed by lack of tools. Sometimes working with what you have can give you something unique.

We used Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PhotoShop.
