I recognized Ed O'Neill right off, but it wasn't till the credits rolled that I realized the dude in the beret was Tom Berenger. I watched this when I was much younger, when movie rental places only carried VHS. In my opinion, it is a largely overlooked and underrated screen gem.

Heh night vision at 1:35 so primitive. Tactically plan has one weakness: if Kimba is the kind of paranoid with a tunnel out of there it gives him time to book. I'm not sure what defect this movie has based on Roger Ebert's criterion for judging cinema: does the film accomplish what it set out to do? It seems this one does it about as well as it can be done. I give it 31/2 stars.

Great cast. I keep seeing faces I recognise. Sgt. Snow from a British police drama was the arms dealer selling the quad 9mm. Jim Broadbent was Colin Blakely's cameraman. Of course Robert Urquart was a great Scots actor, sadly missed. John Quentin as the party guest was always brought in when a chinless wonder was needed to sound stuck up and ignorant. Christopher Walken is one of my favorite actors and one of the few that have a genuine, natural talent for the craft. Billy Bob Thornton is another. Thornton can play a role so perfectly you completely forget who he is. Ever seen Slingblade or A Simple Plan?
