@drjukebox You are completely incorrect. While it could be a possibility, the impact from the skier landing on that slope after the cliff is what triggered that slide. The helicopter is most likely too far away, and b, the skier is creating a much more localized force, which most likely caused the instability in the snow to release, as opposed to the greater area of impact from either the sound waves or air impact from the rotor wash
