No offence....many physician assists are out of high school or from some general science program and then have four years of training to make advance clinical judgment. Doris is advocating for a group of clinicians that has spent many years as a clinician prior to making advance clinical decisions. Many organizations would hire an NP over a physician assist....they only disadvantage to hiring an NP they are costly.
