You had me up until the Sabbath. I'm currently a member of a Sunday worship Christian organization and I maintain this is still not biblical teaching. Yes certainly I believe we are only saved and justified through the blood of the Living Jesus Christ but I have yet to be convinced by any augments that the Sabbath was changed. The fact that it was changed to the pagan sun worshiping day of Constantin should make any Christian seriously question the validity of such a change.

Only the early Sects in Rome and Alexandria practiced on the Sunday and their beliefs were dismissed by those in the Middle East and Greece at the time. The early church was referenced as the catholic church, simply meaning universal church. The church that existed back then was far different than the catholic church today.
There were no popes, just bishops, deacons, etc. There were no priests such as the catholic church has today. We are all kings and priests before God. A study between what the catholic church is today, and what the church was back in the first century will show that they are two different groups.

What is rather interesting is that the bible does not mention the position of "pope". Not once is the word even used in the bible, not even when Paul wrote to the Romans. The bible mentions Apostles, elders/bishops, deacons. Like for example, Timotheous was the first bishop of Ephesus...
But not once does the bible mention popes, nor that we should call men holy father, for there is one holy Father and that is our Father in heaven.
The catholic church teaches that Peter was the first pope, but the bible does not say that, and even if someone later gave peter that name, he did not hold the same position as the one the pope has today.

every week most all adventists study a lesson study printed quarterly, and each quarterly studies a specific book of the bible, we all discuss it together in something called sabbath school. however my mom had a preacher who was yelling at her from the pulpit for reading a book in church. he couldnt see the book and it just so happened to be a bible. he was removed 1 year later. When Jesus cried with a loud voice: "all is accomplished," Jesus died to fulfill all the law. The law was accomplished by Christ and we have dead to the law by his body ! (Rm 5) Now, we are under the new law, Christ. (Gal 2-6) the following texts shows that Jesus is greater than the law.

@plaintruth777 The same thing appear for the text of Revelation. Revelation 12, 17 and 14, 12 didn't say to keep the 10 c but the teaching of Jesus Christ. The word translated in the original in these two verses is Entola and not Nomos. Nomos was always used when the authors spoke about the Torah or the 10 c. Here this term is completly absent. In fact, John refers to what he said in 1 John 3, 20ss (Entola)...

Thing is, you guys target Ellen White, but you still "make the word of God" void by either following Rome - occult traditions, follow "new light" - rapture belief of the past 60 years, ignore the fact that Christ "fulfilled" and not abolished the Law. Perhaps you were surrounded by folks who were a tad legalistic, but if "the salt loses its savour, then it is thrown out". Do not blend with charismatic teachings that are not Biblical. You had me up until the Sabbath. I'm currently a member of a Sunday worship Christian organization and I maintain this is still not biblical teaching. Yes certainly I believe we are only saved and justified through the blood of the Living Jesus Christ but I have yet to be convinced by any augments that the Sabbath was changed. The fact that it was changed to the pagan sun worshiping day of Constantin should make any Christian seriously question the validity of such a change.

Open your Bible and see for yourself (1 Cor16:2, Acts20:7). why the Apostles never taught pagans who were converted to Christ to observe the sabbath while they wrote them to observe the other commandments. The church came many years after Jesus was born. Mat16:18 "And on this Roc, I will build my Church". Thus, the woman in Revelation12 is the nation Israel (Gen37:9). The 12 stars are the 12 tribes.

The early church was referenced as the catholic church, simply meaning universal church. The church that existed back then was far different than the catholic church today.
There were no popes, just bishops, deacons, etc. There were no priests such as the catholic church has today. We are all kings and priests before God. A study between what the catholic church is today, and what the church was back in the first century will show that they are two different groups.

What is rather interesting is that the bible does not mention the position of "pope". Not once is the word even used in the bible, not even when Paul wrote to the Romans. The scriptures don't even show Peter as a pope, nor that the church viewed him as such. Paul even stood up against Peter when he felt peter acted wrongly.
The bible mentions Apostles, elders/bishops, deacons. Like for example, Timotheous was the first bishop of Ephesus...

ahh Jesus is not the sabbath. and i can say that with confidence. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. the Sabbath is a time period in the week. it is set aside as a day of worship and is one of the few things in the bible called HOLY. It was made at creation. 2 things came out of creation perfect. Marriage and the Sabbath. I look at the Sabbath as a symbolic wedding ring to God. I have devoted myself to him and i will do what he says, regardless of what others think or say. I obey God not man.

Your teaching clearly said that the mark of the beast is sunday worship, how could you consider someone christian if he does not observe sabbath and has the mark of the beast. In otherr word, you don't believe in some teachings of your church. Most SDA think that ther are the holy church. You have a teaching of unclean meats that can make you unclean. If a non SDA eats pig, do you still consider him as holy? :)

You are right on about the sealing of the holy spirit. question will there be decieving spirits sent out in the world? says so in revelation. 3 of them. so how can we know which is real? study the bible and you will know what the fruits of the spirit are. the gifts of the spirit are also spelled out. there will be people saved in every corner of the world not just in SDA churches. sda churches have the present truth, just like lutherens had it at one point in history, tommorow maybe a dif church

every week most all adventists study a lesson study printed quarterly, and each quarterly studies a specific book of the bible, we all discuss it together in something called sabbath school. however my mom had a preacher who was yelling at her from the pulpit for reading a book in church. he couldnt see the book and it just so happened to be a bible. he was removed 1 year later. Adventists teach the Bible. I am sorry this guy has a jaded view.

It was mentioned (at 1:08 or so) that the woman spekaing said that she never saw a postor in the SDA Church open a Bible on Sabbath mornings??? qithout mincing words (having been an SDA for over 23 years) I must say that this is a big LIE! Books written by man could be authenticated as the truth only from the original carriers of the message and they are the prophets, Search the Bible to be sure if the prophet is true or false. Study his/her works without any preconceived ideas or prejudice.

an35tares, unless you understand the importance of the 10 law Christ wrote, you will miss God's point. Strong's G1785 Entole supports the Adventist view. Sunday worshippers are contrary to scripture and cant prove the day was changed. God changes not.

@radiomanguy Romans 14:5 is about "fasting". It is not speaking about the day of Holy worship unto the Lord. When you read it in context it is self explanatory. Beginning, middle and end are instructions to not get caught up in prideful fast day ceremonies and has absolutely nothing to do with the 4th Commandment that is an eternal commandment Is 66:22,23.

@plaintruth777 You should read a new time Mat 5, 17ss. The Law who appear here is the Torah not only the 10 commandments. This Law must remain in force untill everything is accomplished. When Jesus cried with a loud voice: "all is accomplished," Jesus died to fulfill all the law. The law was accomplished by Christ and we have dead to the law by his body ! (Rm 5) Now, we are under the new law, Christ. (Gal 2-6) the following texts shows that Jesus is greater than the law.

You will find in the original, the term Entola not Nomos. Jesus said this:keep his teachings as he kept the laws of His Father. @plaintruth777 On the other hand, the commandments that God himself asks us to keep is indeed in the New Testament faith in Jesus and love of neighbor. There is nothing in the text that asks us to keep the Sabbath or even in the description of events of the end which Jesus described. The Bible only says that the rest was added by Ellen White or interpretations that she applies to the text. Read for yourself what the Holy Spirit said to John in 1 Jn 3 20SS especially verse 23;)

@plaintruth777 The same thing appear for the text of Revelation. Revelation 12, 17 and 14, 12 didn't say to keep the 10 c but the teaching of Jesus Christ. The word translated in the original in these two verses is Entola and not Nomos. Nomos was always used when the authors spoke about the Torah or the 10 c. Here this term is completly absent. In fact, John refers to what he said in 1 John 3, 20ss (Entola)...
