i think it's easier if you hit the tonberry with a character with high attack in stoic mode (he will do high damage to that character in exchange, i think it works like that, not sure though) and have the other characters in comrade mode. this way you make sure that everyone gets AP. Also the perfect weapon would be that one with 1 more slot and double AP, but that would take too long since you'd need to get the triple ap yourself (6.5 million gil bribing marlboros) and you don't even need it

@badalex17594 The tonberry is more consistent but if you have low speed characters this is actually faster. Double AP doesn't stack with Triple AP so if you have both you'll only get Triple AP.

@Michel0555 go to besaid or anywhere really easy, get in a fight, cast hastega on the enemies slowga on your party then afk for a while, heal if needed.. make sure not to use the monster arena you dont learn overdrives in there

After you told me you cannot get overdrives in the monster arena I stumbled across another problem, I had 255 evasion so nothing would hit me. I needed something that ALWAYS hits.

Then I got a brilliant idea! I made an armor for Wakka with Confuseproof. Then travelled to the inside of Sin and encountered a battle with 3x Ahriman (flying one-eyed).

I made wakka provoke all three of them, making them always use the laser eye attack on wakka.

I got COMRADE on all other chars very fast.

But the items needed for the XP weapons aren't enough for all of the characters, I only have Kimahri, Auron and Tidus weapons like that. Getting those items are really expensive since all the monsters require a lot of gil to get them to drop the items.

@ZehNAcc Fighting Cactuar King has other benefits: (a) To unlock Cactuar King, you have to catch one of each monster in the Thunder Plains, which is much easier than catching everything in the Cavern to unlock Don Tonberry. That's helpful for people who get stuck at Zanarkand. (b) To take big damage from Don Tonberry, you have to rack up a lot of kills. This means hours of Dingo-killing to get everybody's kill counts up. This way may not be as efficient, but it's much easier to get started.

While you have overdrive to ap on, your overdrive gauge won't charge up. But no you dont have to use it if its full.

it's one easier way and it's the same just that u fight against the voodo guy but it's only if u killed a lot of monsters so u get bad charma ur overdrive modes has to be 2 comrades and the one who attacks is on warrior mode :D

well, his counter attacking used to give me alot of trouble too, pretty much if you have auto phoenix you cant lose, then have overdrives on comrade and just keep using them.. would use up alot of phoenix downs but.. easier than killing all the monsters..

other option is to teach anima protect, have her cast it on herself then just kill him with anima

For auto haste you need 80 Chocobo Wings, you can either capture 1 of each fiend from the Thunder Plains to get 99 and unlock Cactuar King, or bribe Machea in Omega Ruins. You need to give them 360,000 gil for 60 tho.

If you dont have much money after you unlock Cactuar King you can steal 2 at a time.

20 mega phoenix is for auto phoenix, either bribe Ghosts in the Cavern of the stolen fayth, 199,980gil for 38, or capture 4 of every bird creature for 99.

It's better to pay more to get many. The ghost Is a rare encounter after all, even In the spot It usually appears. Pay 550k and you'll get 98.

If you bribe the ghost for 550k you get 98 mega phoenixes which you need for customizing auto-phoenix on your armors. How about now? Well you need 20 for 1. But yeah, money Is easy to get. It can't hurt to get those mega phoenixes.

what you do, is use lulu with bio, wakke to use silence attack, have yuna protect everyone, and since he's silenced he cant use dispel.. then when he's about to use an attack you know you cant survive, like Total Annihilation, summon an aeon and let that die instead of you.

or ofcourse easy method, get 3 aeons in overdrive, use bahamut overdrive, then shiva overdrive then ixion..and it should be dead..

You must have fought a certain number of battles before it MIGHT appear in the Tournament or league, Reset the game to try to make them appear before you enter a league, Sometimes it changes....

Well actualy, since Don walks towards you, and after he's right up close he wont use grudge anymore, the time wasted talking to the arena guy..selecting another one, healing etc etc.. this guy would keep going..you dont even have to play, you can just tape down X and go watch tv or something, come back and have loads of lvls.

There is an easier way to get these weapons. Try to kill Ultima Buster. He drops weapons with Overdrive to AP, Triple AP and Triple Overdrive.
