Achilles I used the Rage Titanium 2 blade, on the first deer I have ever put down, which was a doe, and it was a quick, humane and ethical departure. The Rage broadhead is one I definitely recommend. The shot was taken at 25 yards, slicing thru rib cage on both sides. Shot a little high making it a double lung, but nonetheless was fatal. A total believer!
These broad heads make the kill that much quicker and less suffering for the animal. PETA people listen up, Respectable hunters respect nature and do so legally. The fact that the animals are harvested, there is no need to argue the morality of the hunting/ fishing. It's always been done and it always will be. So get over it already. Appreciate that TRUE hunters/ fisherman are doing it in a more ethical way.
What angers me is that the hunters seem to think killing an animal is completely excusable and accepted, while the 'environmentalists' seem to think killing an animal is horrible. It is neither. Sometimes it is necessary, sometimes it isn't.
@hondafourstroke You don't know what the animal feels. Don't assume you do.
i dunno man i like to see a few healthy animals rather than a bunch of sickly diseased ones... all the hunters i know and myself use the game we get and use it well i might add.... DO YOU EAT BURGER?
@peter is on david hey dipshet, im in support of the product. GOOD YOU CAN READ, now you just gotta learn what words mean when you smash them together in whats called a sentence idiot kid ....
@petersondavid- lol At least I did not have to post it 3 times to get the point across, or was it while spanking the monkey you shot yourself in the face."ignorant"?
It doesn't really matter if the blades are fully deployed or not when it enters.
What really matters is how much damage it causes ON THE INSIDE. If you give it a big, but very shallow cut, it could survive, and be in a lot of pain.
But if you give it a DEEP, but not so big cut, it will tear up the tissiue and bloodvessels and it will either die from stress and bloodloss or simply colapse, which is a quick, painless death.

The large hole the rage 2blade makes isn't the only thing they offer. They fly like the tips u use to practice with all year long, so when you hunt, your equipment is sighted and ready to go just like if you were in the back yard. No such thing as the perfect broadhead but this one is first in line.
over the top expandable expands not on impact it opens just as it penetrates in and the rage 3 blade has pretty much the same ctting diameter as the fixed blade but the bulkyness in the rage makes it look bigger and the 2 blade has bulkyness but the 2inch cutting diameter makes up for it... in all if the 2 blade was more slim and less bulky i would use it but since not i just use my NAP spitfires
@smidgon ware in the fuck do you read about me shooting a elephant mother fucker???? yes i shoot a elephant ...two of them your bitch and your mother! you have no clue what the fuck your talking about... so be a good bitch and shut the fuck up! you understand that! NO YOUR THE RETARD!! BY THE WAY... STOP FINGERING YOUR SISTER.... YOU SICK FUCK:)
I have been shooting whitetail deer for 30 years, and have been told that they hit the shoulder blade on one side and went out the other shoulder blade, Bullshit, I have yet to see it, mabie on the thin part of the shoulder, but than is no different than a rib bone. You will never go through the thick part as some claim. so get off the high horse thinking you did something special with these heads.
I shot a doe this past Thursday 11-12-09 morning hunt with a Rage 2-Blade. My bow is set at 62lbs and she was a 13 yard shot. I hit her in the front shoulder bone it went into the other bone but not a pass thru. She ran 23 yards and dropped, then was dead in about 7 minutes or so. But I have not seen a pass thru upon hitting bone myself.
I have actually hit a doe through both shoulders dead center this year and she only went thirty yards and dropped over dead. They broadheads really do damage no matter where you hit
THAT WENT THREW BOTH SHOULDER... SO NO ITS NOT BULLSHIT COCK SUCKER !! SO GO BUY A MANS BOW AND PUT THE PINK BOW U GOT UP:) I HATE FUCKS LIKE U THAT TALK SHIT AND THINK THEY KNOW ALL ABOUT BOWHUNTING !!! WHAT DO U THINK YOUR A DEER WHISPER OR SOMETHING? " IV BEEN SHOOTING WHITETAIL DEER FOR 30 YEARS" WELL YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT DO U?
I shot deer with rage blew both shoulders out clean through.Alot depends on kinetic.Anyone that knows archery and the chemistry knows that. Get your kinetic energy up past 70 lbs+ and whitetail shoulder isnt safe with Rage.
if you make a good shot on a deer you should be able to kill them with a fieldtip....these broadheads are rear deployed....meaning you get an inch of penetration before the pressure of the skin pushues the blades back....they ALWAYS open
well bro i can answer these questions from my own experiences... myself, i usually always get a pass thru.. but the problem with these broadheads are they are pretty useless against bone.. NOT ALL THE TIME.. but most of the time.. so just stay away from the rib cage and you should be good to go =)
ever gotten a deep cut? like a DEEP cut? it doesnt hurt THAT much... the animal doesnt suffer, it gets hit and about 15 seconds later of confusion its dead. oh well... the tree huggers seem to be allergic to the facts so oh well
hi u can get the rage 2 blades off of ebay cheaper then at the stores and dont get the three blades they hade a recall on them .but iv got three deer this yr using the 2 blade and woow the put a 3in round hole in and out in a deer
I am disappointed with the rage broadheads. I shot a six point bull on 9/12/08 at 46.5 yrds, I hit a little high behind the shoulder , the arrow only penetrated about six inches, found the whole arrow 30yrds from the shot, it was like it bounced off, We tracked the bull for about 250 yrds and completely lost the blood trail, I have a video of the hunt and the shot to back it up.Rage broadheads didn't get the job done, and cost me a Pope&Young bull, I should have used my Wac Em broadheads.
Was it a 6x6 or a six point. It would be hard for a 6 to be P&Y. Also are you sure you didnt hit the shoulder cause at almost 50yds a shoulder shot wouldnt penetrate. Not second guessing you, just curious
I prolly wouldn't have chosen the Rage for an Elk hunt, duh! Of course I shoot a very well tuned X-Force..What bow, arrow, combo, speed? I have been having mine stick in the dirt about 6-8" after the pass-thru.
amazing i love rage 2 blade just shot a spike nov 12 biggest entery hole...i walked over to the deer and his lungs were hanging out of the hole....the best
Yes these broadheads work great! I shot 3 deer with them all ready. Two buck and a small doe. Are you shooting the blue practice broadhead into your foam target? If so the blades don't open on the practice ones. Good luck!
well i cant shoot my foam target anymore because my bow is set on 75 lbs, w/ cabron arrows and the target wont stop the arrows....and i havent had one of these deploy right yet....and my friend shot a deer last week from 25 yrds and they didnt deploy at all
Wow! I'm not sure what to tell you. I shot 3 deer with mine and they work great. The entry hole is unbelievable! (I have a pic to prove it) Shoot the blues one for practice only! I'm sure you know that. Good luck! If you don't like they I'll take them off your hands. Later!
i finally got a chance to see these in action but i had a small problem, my arrow rest got bent in transport so right as i let my release go my arrow fell through my arrow rest and flew about 10 ft....bummer i thought i was gonna get to see one of these in action, and i just got a glendel buck and the first thing i did was shoot one of these into it...deployed perfect, busted the oring tho
I shot deer with both muzzy and rage 2 blades as long as your shot placement is good both should do the job they did for me
ltownballer123 2 days ago
They're awesome until they fail to open. Not a matter of " if" but "when". Ill stick to the muzzys.
