I used to have a Crestwood Deluxe which had 3 mini-humbuckers that sounded just great. it had the Gibson Custom level of trim and it even had the fretless-wonder style frets. I sold it because the neck was way too skinny. Now that I think of it, all I had to do was never play below the 5 fret. Ha ha, that's the breaks.
@HotPocketEXE I am not a huge Epiphone fan, but for about $400 you can pick up the modern Epi equivalent, (the Wilshire) which has some of the sweetest tones I have ever heard form a mini humbucker, solid body !.
@rhykko77 this epiphone was from when epiphone was an american manufacturer and gibson's biggest competitor for quality guitars. gibson bought epiphone, closed down american production and allowed the name to be used on inexpensive guitars made in asia, which sort of hurt the brand's reputation as a quality professional grade guitar maker.
Nice playing hints of Blue Jean Blues by ZZ Top.
