This is an extraordinarily warm, funny and wonderfully nuanced series starring some of Britain's best comedic actors. It was poorly treated in Australia having too short a run on our TV screens at an odd time, and I've been trying to find it on DVD ever since. Great to be able to enjoy watching it once again.

agree totally, movieluvr69 and Hot PotNoodle1. And who is Mark Heap? In the U.S. the first episodes in a series never achieve the consistency of character development seen already in the opening scenes here, as if the U.S. actors need time to work out their characters.

I'd expect more from the writer of Men Behaving Badly. It is like a watered-down version of Moran's own humour, but it feels like its holding back. A bit too audience-friendly.
