I cant believe im reading or replying to this shit. you RJ fans no disrespect but go back and watch Diaz vs Lawler. Robbie Lawler is one of the greatest strikers in MMA. Diaz didnt just beat this guy , he completely humiliated him. There is a good reason why boxers are not running down to there nearest octagon.Im not saying Nick would win in a boxing match , but nick has been proving people wrong since his first fight in the octagon. and this guy does not disappoint.
The amount of training has little to do with the skill set. boxers train for 6 weeks not because they only do boxing . do your homework . they train for 6 weeks because 1st. it takes much less conditioning to box 12, 3 min. rounds than it does to fight 3, 5min rounds in MMA. 2nd, boxers spend 80% more time promoting the fight than they do training. Nick Diaz never stops training. Running Triathlons when he not fighting is a formula for an absolute superior athlete as compared to RJ.
First of all, why Roy Jones Jr? He's not fit to box anymore. Roy doesn't need more punishment. He should not be given a license to fight.
Second, Diaz would overpower Roy. He's young, tough, strong, and has enough skill to survive a couple of shots. I love Roy, and 15 years ago it would be no contest, but those days are gone.
Third, I'd really like to see Diaz try boxing. He and Nate are very good strikers. I think they could be competitive against some good boxers.

I do boxing and I love it but I train in a gym that is mainly for MMA guys, I dont do it or anything involved with it but I respect it as a sport as MMA fighters will have similar qualities as boxers so do you not think that saying someone is a fighter not just a boxer is wrong because when it comes down to it, it is two men facing off against each other in a real physical fight whether its boxing or MMA, no matter what styles they train in or their level?

Diaz is in his prime, I would love to see him Boxing against another fighter in there prime. Diaz is in the top 10 in MMA at welterweight, so lets see him fight a top 10 welterweight Boxer. Even with all Diaz's " supposed weapons" he's just a 3rd rate fighter. Now it might look good against other mma fighters who by the way are just 3rd rate fighters ,but a fight with ANY mma guy against Roy Jones in his prime would be laughable at best .A world-class boxer with footwork is the most dangerous in the world because he is the most efficient fighter.
