How wonderful it is that you are able to assemble four generations around the dinner table! Rich and I have often traveled out of the country over Thanksgiving...it as good to spend this year with close friends. Old and new holiday traditions of seeing family (3 generations) and best friends will resume at Christmas/New Year's. Can't wait.

My Thanksgiving was unbelievable. It was my birthday. My mother (who was placed in a nursing home 4 months ago) came home for the first time. My ENTIRE family came by. Also longtime family friends. We talked and laughed for hours. The kids are all growing up. And I received several e-mails, comments, text messages, etc... for my B-day. I will never forget it.

The Kids were all out on the coast, my folks can't travel and live in Idaho, Val's Mom is in full care in MD, the grandfolks passed away many years ago... So MrsDigiot and I were it for Thanksgiving...

I am still thankful for I know many folks spend it entirely alone... Like our service men and women...

I'm with you on the high production values that some people have. I do understand why, but i know i'd make far less videos if i worried about that kind of thing too much.

If it's an outdoor video, i make the quality higher, but indoors i don't see that it matters a lot really.

Families can be demanding & frustrating sometimes. But, we wouldn't be here without them.

Family can be a huge pain in the butt, but I can't imagine life without my family! I am so thankful for all of them. I don't have any grandparents left, but my mom is 76 now and showing her age more and more so every holiday I have with her I am so thankful for her. I'm doing some work and household chores this morning and then will go spend the rest of the day with the fam. Happy Thanksgiving! So good to see you!

Leslie and I have rebelled against seeing family when Hallmark tells us to. We prefer the low-pressure, non-harried approach of visiting other times of the year, when it's truly heartfelt.

And, I'm with you on the vlogging thing too. We put too much pressure on ourselves to "produce" when all we need to do is talk.

I think the biggest part of the vlogging thing for me was waiting for a 500 MB video to upload, bogging down my entire network! This low quality video was under 25 MB! Happy Thanksgiving! :)
