so much for this being a phase eh?

  • I discovered SLF because of a band from Newfoundland called Two Guitars Clash.

  • @k00patr00pa1 u jelly?

  • SAW THIS GROUP WHEN I WAS 15 IN MANCHESTER !!!! WOW GOOD TIMES LOL THEY WERE BRILL !!!!!! x

  • no one gives a shit if your 15 you want a fucking cookie or what? Enjoy the tunes

  • Jake Burns was my first interview as a journalist. I guess the only way was down from there. Absolute legends, really nice guy.

  • I was a soldier who joined the Army straight from school in the early 80s. This song could have been written for me (and thousands like me) following the Falklands War. Was never sure which side of the divide SLF were but after seeing them live in Belfast on the 'No Sleep Til Belfast Tour', I didnt really care. Awesome band regardless of political persuasion.

  • @macameron9 They were on the side of reason. Listen to the lyrics on "Wasted Life" and "Is that what you fought the war for"

  • if we could have those days back ahhhhhh

  • jus fukin awsum one of the best bands ever live n loud its wot they very gud at long live slf

  • i was raised with Stiff Little fingers at a young age,and i have yet to see them live, but i will someday

  • SLF were my first ever gig when i was just 7! Can blame my mum and dad for my musical influences. Still going to see them now at 14!

  • @KatehhKannibal

Ha Ha, SLF were my first band too. I saw them in Dundee, Scotland when I was 12.... I'm now 44. Long live SLF!!!

  • @thefraggenator ha im 39 years old aND STILL A HC PUNK; GREETS TO YOUR DAD FROM GERMANY-DÜSSELDORF 111

  • Man, these guys are Awesome! If it weren't for the simple rental of a little film called "High Fidelity", these guys would have completely passed me by!

  • fuck your pope and your queen! enjoy the fucking song

  • It actually sounds better live at their gigs. (Last of their gigs I went to there was a Sid Vicious lookalike bobbing around near me, creepy how much he looked like him). Also Jake Burns was the first person I ever interviewed (that was famous) as a journalist.

  • Timeless

  • how the hell can anyone dislike this???!!!?!?!?

  • happy st. patrick's day everybody!

  • FUCK THE FORCES!

  • @paddonc

    Really? Why?

And anyway, shouldn't you be busy living with your mum, watching superhero clips, wondering what girls feel like? Instead of looking for decent music that you don't understand to comment on? Twat

  • @stuf1977 actually i am a nerdy dumb ass, but you see most punks take shit like this and turn it around, but i agree, exceot for the wat girls feel like, and the forces are manipulative and liers, if you like them so much go join em, cobra fukin comander, not to mention the song is saying exactly what i am.

  • what shit we listen to today

  • Next week st patricks day off to see one of the daddys of punk music not to mention their irish, full of guiness full of mayhem! awesome band

  • Still Fingle Fingers and bands fromnthe same era(The Clash/Sex Pistols Etc) are about what music is about They get you feeling they get you involved. It's a shame we don't have bands like tis today. More impotantly we have Stiff Little Fingers get out to see them when they play(unlike modern so called bands) your town I know I Will

  • fuck my dad used to listen to this when i was like 4 now im stuck as a punk. FUCKING LOVE IT

  • Grew up with this band, child of the 70's from Ulster they mean so much to me

  • My mum introduced me to this band when I was 10...3 years on and still lovin' them :)

  • I'm 20 nanoseconds old and I love this music. I wish people would stop listening to bands that no-one's heard of yet and give old stuff a try. And by old, I mean anything pre-2000, because I'm only 20 nanoseconds old and make other people feel old by saying this music is old.

  • lv been listening to this since i was a baby 30yrs ago still sounds fresh

  • Best punk act ever... no question

  • @aivopark Finnish are awesome. Winter War won.

  • Saw them play at Middlesbrough last night, 29 years after seeing them play 4 the first time, still worth the admission price !

  • Christ, I feel old. 22 and 1/2 years ago (specifically March 19, 1988) I saw them at the Barrowlands in Glasgow and like the reckless 19YO that I was after the concert I hitch-hiked back to Edinburgh in the middle of the night, somehow managing not to be assaulted on the way.

  • I can can see the influence, but SLF sound so much better.

  • @UTFRG sorry but what does it matter how old you are? its not a club. you can say the same thing about listening to bach or beethoven and it will be equally retarded. music is timeless, good on the 13 year olds for actually thinking about what music to listen to!
