@TheRoyalAquamaster Tamburlaine. The name comes from a really interesting play about a Gengis Khan like character who takes everything that is held sacred, and destroys it. Religion/ Business/ Royalty etc It was, and still is, controversial, due to the questions it poses of society then, and in a lot of ways, now. Freely available on project gutenberg.
(Oh God, sorry, I only wished to correct the spelling of the name, and ended up giving a history lesson.)
@yellowcougar18 It wasn't based on Genghis Khan so much as it was based on Tamerlane, or Timur the Lame, who was from the same dynasty as wor Genghis but about one and a half centuries later, if memory serves. Sorry for being such an arse, but I saw a production recently.
@leaguesmanoframsgate Trust me, you are not being an @rse, far from it. You are merely correcting me on an error. And I would also like to see a production of Tamburlaine, I only read it, never saw it performed.
the doctor can totally understand where the kid is coming from. hes embarrassed just being with those parents. what annoys me most is embarrassing parents, no matter how much you tell them, they won't accept they're embarrassing. and if just one of your friends told them, they would stop being embarrassing, but friends have to be 'polite'
The poor son was already driven to death, but additionally the very last super-embarrissing announcement of his father lets the machine explode in horror. For this one single time, a doctor's diagnosis has been proven to be correct.

This is very dark sketch for a comedy show, but very funny at the same time. Not many sketch shows could have a dying son and his parents crying over him and make it funny, but Mitchell and Webb pulled it off fantastically.
So I assume you have an alternative way of interpreting this sketch ? I would like to hear what you find to be funny in this clip.
Yet I must also address that the way you start up a conversation is not very effective one. (Calling a non-american person you don't even know a stupid american.)
Not to mention you didn't bother to explain what I missed.
Jokes can be interpreted in many ways and different people can find them amusing for different reasons. I'm just asking you take on this.
so? you don't need to tell everone about it! YOUR NOT IMPORTANT! TO EVERYONE! JUST LIKE EVERYONE ON YOUTUBE YOU'RE NOT WORTH A CRAP, NO-ONE IS!!! ARRRRRRRRRRGGSDAGYFSDHCBDSDADBSFHAFGJKHPRLSWQMNXSH!!!!!.......*SIGH* all better
And here I thought we could have had an intelligent conversation but never mind. You know, the reason to drop comments; to possibly have an exchange of words with someone else or to state ones opinion.
You got some anger issues there, you should go see a shrink. (Especially if you act as immaturely in reality.)
You'd think after pushing their kid into dying ahead of schedule, they'd get the message. And you'd definitely think they'd get the message after blowing up the fucking machine.
look at all the idiot pop stars out there, calling their kids the dumbest names, bowie started the ball rolling in the early 70s by calling his son ZOWIE!!!! guess what' he calls himself JOE now!
No! That's what the poor kid in the sketch is called. His parents call him Tamberlyn and the doctor calls them Mr & Mrs Chamberlain, ergo the kid's name is as above.
Some modern parents should see this before giving their kids stupid names. In a restaurant where I go, there's a couple who've name their daughter Pebbles - jeez!
No no! That's his name, it rhymes, it's a stupid name. It's funny.
This clip should be required viewing for anyone expecting a kid. The stupid names they give them. A little girl I see sometimes is actually called Pebbles. Stupid parent alert!!
