  • Oops Sorry just noticed the song details..Thanks again though!

  • What song is this and who ? Good vid .Thanks may try this myself. Keep well.

  • How many coats did you put on? Did it have any effect on the color?

  • Hey duy. Can you do this with any guitar? I wanna do a king v or something related to the v

  • @MrNappy1221

yeah you can, but if there are beveled edges on the V, you're gonna have to trim the veneer differently

  • @DUYGuitar1337, I'm making my own jem ( I might make some videos) and what would go wrong if I didn't use sanding sealer? The guitar looks really

    Nice though, great work

  • @randomguitarstuff56

Not using sanding sealer will take you longer to get rid of the wood pores. I recommend that you get it so you can seal it from moisture and such.

  • does this sealer also prevent dust particles from gettin on to the guitar while its drying after ive applyed paint?

  • WKUK reference FOR THE FREAKING WIN!!!!!! haha Naiiiiiil Guuunn

  • omg!!! those videos make me wanting to create a new guitar by myself....I'll do it someday!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • i wish when these tutorials are made they wouldnt use music blasting out

  • @redfenderguy

I wish people who take such an effort to complain about trivial things would be mature enough to just mute the video.

  • @DUY1337GUITAR WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TOO? we should be able to watch the video with out music blasting out

  • @redfenderguy

What are you, 12 years old? How hard is it to take a second to click mute compared to taking more than a couple seconds to type a complaint?

You ask "WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO." Well, not ALL people hate it. The reason you HAVE to mute it is because you just happen to be one of those who don't like it. That's all.

  • @redfenderguy I like the music..lol, Has a good beat.. :D

  • I think an audio commentary would make your presentation more viable, rather than the headbanging music you've got going. Viewers would absorb, understand, & appreciate the process of finishing you're really not expalining!

  • the vocalist sounds like Gary Valentine

  • its getting nice dude! the veneering and sanding is always a problem, i know it :P

you are making a very nice guitar out of this. thums up!

  • No doubt you're a student of the stewmac school of text book guitar finishing. But 1 thing I don't understand is,In some of the previous vids and this one, you sanded the body against the gain.I thought that was a BIG no no.

  • @cast390

No, I didnt look at the book.

Which video are you referring to?

  • Nice videos! Which sandpaper did you use for scuff sanding?

  • @nzuliddu

    400 grit

  • @DUY1337GUITAR Thanks!

  • Sand throughs.... i know that pain in a different sense. While I was sanding off the previous finish I've gone through the veneer in multiple areas. It was like falling into despair a bit.

  • this song has to be the most annoying song in the whole series...

  • love the videos... not a huge fan of the music. :/

  • @terry48gene

I'm not either, but I got permission to use these tracks.

  • you want a good 4ml of laquer before sanding

  • @Semimentalman2

    yeah live and learn

  • @DUY1337GUITAR great guitar btw

  • scratching off the remaining panint from the binding is called SCRAPING. its the shittiest job on earth :D

  • why did you apply the sanding sealer after the dye? i thought you were supposed to do it before, just curious.

  • why did you apply the sanding sealer after the dye, i thought you're supposed to do it before the dye, just curious.

  • Why did you apply the sanding sealer after the dye? Aren't you supposed to apply it before? Just curious.

  • if you wanted to dye the mahogany part of the body, do you put the dye on first, or the sanding sealer?

  • whats scuff sanding?and did you do it imbetween each coat of sangind sealer?

  • what should i use sanding sealer ,clear coat or both?

  • how long did you wait for the dye to cure before applying the sanding sealer?

  • dye doesnt cure...

  • ok...how how long did you wait for the dye to dried before applying the sanding sealer?

  • so do you apply the sanding sealer as soon as you're done with the dye?

  • it doesnt take longer than overnight to dry

and no, there is no need to apply sanding sealer as soon as it's done.

  • oh ok thanks :D

  • sanding sealer on the whole body?

  • Is it necessary to use sanding sealer?

  • well... yes if you want to seal the wood from moisture and level the surface to remove the wood texture easily

  • this sounds like the beatles XD the vocals are too loud.

  • cool to see the guitar come together, its going to look great

  • Whats the sanding sealer do?

  • Sanding sealer is like clear coat but has larger particles so it builds up faster. It seals the wood from moisture, and the larger particles can are easily sanded to level the surface of the guitar faster.

  • oh ok

    thanks

  • again

  • lol, good one
