Sorry for the confusion, i planted all 11 seedlings after 3 weeks of growth into 1 gal pots, once i figure out which ones are femals, i was going to put the femals into 3gal pots and veg for a month or so. Does this sound correct to you all out there. ive had one successfull grow but they were from clones. any thoughts people?

@SickSh0ck because the male plants will eventually release their pollen thus pollinating the female plant causing the female plant to produce seeds. People tend to prefer sensimilla (seedless marijuana) because the plant uses some of its energy to produce seeds instead of using all its energy to produce buds/THC. No seeds = better quality buds.

I read somewhere that both male and female plants will get the male parts sometimes, so how do I know if I have a female? if I keep cutting of male parts if they come will it eventually flower, or does a male plant not have female parts and only the male parts?

@BAHchikabowwow We call that a hermaphrodite (or the more common slang, hermie) This is normally caused from either light pollution during the reproductive stage or by genetic degradation from bad clones or seeds. Its essentially a plant that has both female and male sex organs, it will produce seeded Bud AND pollen so it should be either A.) removed from your garden as soon as pollen sacks show or B.) you CAN remove the pollen sacks from a hermie as it grows, however its not a good idea

@sofakingey Just wait until you are 100% sure, BUT dont let the males mature enough for the pollen sacks to open otherwise your whole crop could be fucked.

Just look out for: Male plants = little balls usually a pale green colour, Female plants = little hairs usually white as soon as you start to see a preflower let it grow until you can definetly see either balls or little white hairs.

Balls = Male, Tiny hairs = (Female)

Something that noone ever mentions...if the cannabis you grow for medical uses seems to be too strong, if you let it go to seed, this reduces potency, as the energy required to produce seeds takes away from cannabinoid production.

So far, there's been no study on what percentage change seeded/sensimilla methods produce...it'd be interesting to see that scientifically documented somewhere...someday...
