  • Yes it will, when it becomes truly unified, Military, Politically...and even religiously.

Whether you like it or not, want it or not, religion will be the very thing that holds it together.

  • Europe=France, UK, Germany other countries are very little compared to them

  • @Francesko263

Poland in 50 years will become as strong as Germany.

  • @ViriathusVingathor Are you kidding? Poland will be splitted between Germany and Russia as in the past century.

  • @Francesko263

Not kidding,Poland as remaining eastern Europe is a gold mine.

  • europe will be the next superpower no doubt about that rome will be its capital.

  • @doctorw2 Brussels of course... capital already

  • The union as a nation is a great idea. but we miss churchills and napoleons to lead it. We have no guts in our politics, so noone will step forward to lead the union. We could really be the strongest nation in the world. And we can sustain our national identety. But instead of countrys, we will call it provinces.

  • Proud to be British Sad to be European.

Give us back our country QQ

  • im european and i say fuck the EU, no democracy in the EU no sovereignty for the people to voice their opinions.

its the new roman empire, founded by nazis.

    fuck the EU

  • The EU will Die, long live Democracy not the facist EU.

  • @Theaverable how is it facist, i would love to hear this. First they are not radicals as this has been happening gradually for years now. Secondly EU does not promote war, hence the cut back off militaries and build up of economies.

  • @xUK91x The EU is a sad atempt of making a single state, in the EU parliment they constantly cut the microphone off the vastly outnumber opposition who argue for the freedom of nations. The EU HATES the idea of Nations. NATO doesn't promote War, political union among countries that don't want it causes war, Remember Yugoslavia? The EU with its currency the Euro (another step to a European state), has also ruined economies such as Greece, Portugal, etc. Not to mention its unelected leader.

  • @Theaverable I agree with the sad attempt as i would rather die then watch my country lose its national identity, but they dont cut the microphones off the ones who argue against the EU, watch Nigel Farage 'who the hell you think you are' trust me it will bring a smile to your face as he sticks it to the EU. But they are not facist, they have not one enough to fit that criteria yet.

  • @xUK91x

  • @Theaverable lol me, and the Pro-Europeans, also hate the idea of nations. nationalism hasn't done anything good to this world, but the opposite. We as single nations will not survive the future world challenges. The future superpowers, China, India, Russia will buy european countries one at a time. unless we unite and fight together, for our ancestors, culture, history and wealth... think about all that..United ( in the right way, so not corruption and other shit ) we stand, divided we fall..

  • process. Thats why i think democracy should allow to supply what people want. But polls shouldnt decide what happen as your plan to power needs to have a fundament. Not a capatalistic rage of toileting money trough the ground and see how this strategy carries me away.

People often dont think. The EU is stable,

But it could be so much better.

  • from the beginning, many countries in europe would be equal in ecomic power to the western countries and we could build all the green power projects within the next year.

But efficient plan making, subject to what is the best chess move is not the first thing countries think about. Democracy fullfills peoples wishes. It doesnt supply the most consent wishes in the order which it should be performed, but in the order people want to see, and wishing what you want for includes skipping steps in

  • Western european countries just have to fund other countries to develop which they both arent working on, and the EU itself has no right to tell what individual countries should do unless a decision is made within the EU.

Western countries have very high treasuries. Im sure theyre spending it perfectly well on green power and shit like that. It can also be used to reform not just the prosperity standards, but also the economic standards of many eastern countries. If they would have done that

  • As a lifelong US citizen I'm interested to know why there is such a desire to have a unified Europe. Are the individual countries not doing well on their own?

  • @thedeitsch not all of them

  • @thedeitsch

Basically its that we all speak different languages. If you live in austin texas and you travel to phoenix arizona, (1000miles) you can still speak english and have fun together.

If you live in paris (france) and go to budapest (hungary) (also about 1000miles apart) you have to speak a entire different language and adapt to a entirely different culture.

Thats europes problem, although we usually get along with each other, superstitious or in case you speak foreign language in a

  • better way. The thing is, we do get along, its just hard to get along due to culture and language difference (not indifference but difference) So we are not as eager for a american to travel to a next state (country)

Were not that eager, and we dont have the routine reasons to visit most other eu coutnries.

Which makes trafficing hard at times.

The other reason is that we allow countries to add to the union based upon their standards which they have to qualify for. but once they attain,

  • those standards, they both havent met future foundations so to guarantee increasing power after they join. Which causes many eu countries to stall. They also have to reform to a euro currency, that is if they want to meet a union in europe.

I hope we have sollutions, if not drastic meassurements to take in order to keep greece in the EU. Or else spain/portugal might follow.

  • The European has the means too be a super power if it sorts its underlying and massively dangerous 'Muslim' Problem

  • @durnham What muslim problem? I have been looking and I have not yet found it.

  • @mdsatan The fact that there are over 50 million Muslims in Europe and that number will increase to 150 million in just 20 years, the fact that Islam clashes violently with the bedrock of European life, western society and the fact that European Birth rates are below the replacement rates and Muslim birth rates in Europe are about 5 times higher, that Problem

  • @mdsatan And you talk of now being age of cooperation, Nato is all cooperation required, i dont want small weak country to cling onto my country holding us back in EU needing bailouts which they can never even pay back to us. So fuck of and stop leaching my country wealth and millitary. And why cant we work together without being EU? we have council of europe and nato where we can work together in all required ways without having to bail out small weak countries. I want the Franc back!

  • Pretty strange that in the future EU is like United states of Europe or something O_o I'm not sure is that good thing at all, but I don't think that's gonna happen in few years because almost every country has it's own language and some still don't want to even learn English, like for example many French and Spanish people. It would be pretty funny if EU would become country with 20-30 languages. Btw Stubb speaks so good American English because he studied in U.S for some years.

  • @isokessu

Dude, losing your culture and having 20 - 30 languages used simutaneously is better than another war that would cripple all of Europe again like WWII. If we do not remove the concept of borders, nations, ethnics, religious differences etc, some bright racist motherf***er would try to emulate Hitler and try to kill everyone he doesn't like. And then there's no trade restrictions. In the long run, it is a good idea.

  • @isokessu It's excellent idea. EU is the best thing that has happened to Europe since the collapse of it's colonies/overseas domain.

Uskohan jo. Ei siellä jenkkilässä tai kiinassakaan yhtä kieltä aluksi puhuttu. Eikä muuten puhuttu suomessakaan

  • @isokessu I really don't think language is a problem, it's not like your gonna live once a year in a different country, we just need a common language travel, business, politics'n'stuff, either english (with updated script, cuz it's BAD, seriously, I still have to use spellcheck) or esperanto which is very easy to learn supposedly.

  • what the usa did with the sub prime crap that destroyed many banks and was in fact a financial bomb to destroy europe because they know they are doomed, could have been considered in other days as a declaration of war against the eu, because it was done knowing that many p+arts of europe would fall and that would collapse the eu, and almost did collapse the eu, thats really from the usa and could have been the end of the west, and rise of china as total superpower over nioght have we fallen

  • europe is THE super power with 400m-450m spent on the millitary (1.63 GDP) compared to the us 600m (4.3 GDP)

  • @lanarkgrammersucks

EU is Superpower(S)... I can add up EU + African Union = Superpower(S)...

  • @Phead128

Eu its a regional power and it's a soft power. African Union has no influnce on anything.

  • With the EU that will change. The american military economy has alot to thank because the WWII. Many western countries plus the US army were buyers so it became a strong economy. Also after the war many things were both from the US. (companies arent made in a couple of days) But now and because the EU almost everthing is and will be replaced with EU made equipment. And for the people who say were only using US materials they should study more because this cooperation isn't new but from the 70's.

  • You dont know your European history very well. Europe is WAY more warfare like then the US. I like Europe but all humans all over the world are the same as far as warmongering goes.

  • Countries on which the U.S has a military presence will never become more powerful than the U.S itself. All this economic power thing is B.S. The EU owes alot to the U.S for liberating it in WW2. So if the EU is not in line with America's interests. U.S military is in Europe for a reason. Its a bargaining chip you see. Plus, the regimes in many European countries were installed by U.S after WW2. America has enough leverage in Europe.

  • @nofreedom4racists That makes no difference. So let's say Europe does become more united. America would be in big trouble if Europe decided to increase military spending. It's the world's largest economy, it could hypothetically easily match America's military spending if necessary. But that's the thing, IF necessary. We are not war mongeres like the US.

  • @nofreedom4racists Let me tell you how it really whent ! Europe had a good military economy in those times. European technology was much better also. The germans had rocket artellery, V2, U boat, good tanks and some crazy projects nuclear bomb and rocket engine plane. Actually the US should thank Europe. The american army wasn't equally to ours but that changed in WWII. Western european technology was integrated in the U.S army. radar, thermo optics, communication systems, nuke technology,...

  • @nofreedom4racists Because they joint us in fighting against the Germans. The US army had good things to but it was ecspecially the UK that strengthened more. It's also because the EU why the US has a large military economy. The Germans destroyed many factories or controlled it and they used it to support there army. That's why W- europe focused on the US. WWII was a war off mass production. We ordered many things from the US in a periode off 4 years. That's why the american economy is so large.

  • LOL this guy is funny when the talks about that translation joke

  • A good talk but it seems rather dated now. It was given pre-Lisbon Treaty when Ireland was still considering their EU referendum. He talks about the G8, not the G20. Since then we’ve got an EU President (of sorts), EU Foreign minister (of sorts), had the world financial crisis and the Eurozone crisis etc. It's a different world.

  • @hawking8 yes to a certain extent, but the underlying theme of what he is on about, still applies.

  • the eu is an expensive joke the day it fails will be the greatest day in history fuck the eu

  • 1st place im a european

    second place im dutch

3th place im from western europe

4th place im from southern holland

5th place im from my hometown

  • Europe will be the only superpower and I will be so happy when we screw to death the Americans, Russians Chinese and the rest of the world.

  • @alainvig sometimes you have to be logged on the internet in your sleep

  • hahah I love his North Carolina accent.

  • with easterners providin the land army and cheaper labour force for low thech components and west providin the weapons research and hi tech production we can reach a US like military power with less of gdp expenditure for military ,EU spends only 1,6% of GDP while US spends 4,5% ,i think we can reach US power with 2 % if the land force is made up by easterners and if all the national command centers are erased ,a lot of money goes into paralel comand centers .

  • SOON the gas and oil in the north sea will run out and then EU countries will agree to make a unified military the thing is that with 600 mil people with further expansion EU will be twice as US ,eastern EU countries have a lot of room to grow slower though than China but enough to boost eu ec power and military ,it's just a matter of years to a unified military, my opinion outsource the land army to the eastern countries they have low wages and the west build a massive air force and navy .

  • In point of economic we Europeansare already the superpower.

  • The more Superpowers the better; our world is being destroyed by human industries and the only way to stop it is to produce with environmental friendly methods. The only way to enforce environmental laws are to have the world united in super powers. If only small countries existed then the world would be destroyed before any pro-environment treaty could be drafted - it would take to long time to get everyone to agree. With superpowers; that wouldn't be a problem. Superpowers; WORD!

  • @tookonehourtogetthis

Get a hair cut hippie.. Global warming is finished, try a new plot watermelon.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer oki retard, just because the media does'nt talk about global warming anymore, or doesn't exagirate its problems; it doesn't mean that global warming has ceized to excist. ill go shave my head if you kill yourself

  • @tookonehourtogetthis

No, it hasn't ceased to exist, because that would require it to have once existed. Learn how to spell first, then how to detect communist propaganda. Remember, green is the new red.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Wow, you just blanked out reality twice in two sentences; you ignored all evidence of global warming just like that (im not impressed) and you said that red is not red, red is green, when in fact red is red and I'm not sure what green is, I'm only individualistic. English is my second language (I know four), when you can speak swedish fluidly with superb grammar, then I'll let you comment my english - untill then, I¨ll just be happy with having top grade in my english subjects.fu

  • @tookonehourtogetthis

Why would i learn Swedish? Soon Islamic will be the dominant language in Sweden anyway. All the the while people like you can talk about how i'm paranoid, but you yourself believe in Global Warming, for which, there is no evidence. Hence why is has stopped on TV, media companies are already worried enough that their lies have ruined their credibility. So keep practicing dead languages and dead commie tricks.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Islam is a religion, not a language. Medias arent worried about their credability, your bullshitting, otherwise there wouldn't have been some kind of bee crisis in US, or some mass hysteria about the millenium change. They stop talking about things when they aren't trendy anymore or when people have started to prefer to read about other things instead.

You're contradicting yourself to, saying that communism is dead, and then saying that the whole of EU is communistic.retardmongo

  • @tookonehourtogetthis

WOW, when did i say communism is dead? I implied that the Sweden language will soon be obsolete, as with the global warming myth. Boy, you are dumb. Typical Euro trash.

  • one-europe-one-language .eu

  • I like how people point out that the EU has a weaker military than the US, when, we have a stronger one.

Of course, we have no completely unified military, but as a federation, we have 10% more troops than the states.

  • It certainly seems that Asia will become a superpower. But let us not forget.... the commonwealth ;) Aus South Africa Canada Mexico Possibly india and the carribean isles Are much more tied into Britain Franch and Spain than they are America Despite two of which being neighbours. I see no reason why Canada will join a large empire anytime soon. But in my opinon I think the old european empires are being "recaptured" so to speak.
  • The European Union is becoming a strong entity but will not be a Superpower like the USA. The next Superpower will be an Asian power, most likely China. America right now is slowly losing its global clout. In another 20 years it will be Asia that will dominate the planet.

  • @Gabbo2010 what European Union CANT be a superpower are you crazy it isnt completely formed yet to but the EU can easly become a superpower the EU army is much stronger then the Chinese army are economy also eu 16.140.000.000.000 $ china 8.948.000.000.000 $ almost 2 times bigger and the population eu 495 million people future 614 million and china 1.3 billion people you are talking like the EU is nothing the EU will be a worldpower we got the technology, money and place 3 on population.

  • @glendelio

LOL,the Chinese economy is not 8.9 trillion, that is PPP, which effectively means nothing. It has a real value of 5 trillion. EU has 16 trillion. The difference is that China is a country, EU is a dream.

  • @Gabbo2010 China is growing and i dont got a problem with that "but theres more then 1 worldpower " people always talk like there can only be one worldpower but its not true, only one can be the first thats true and the EU makes a very good changes but China, Russia the US are all worldpowers.

  • he's married to a brit? yay! we've got him!

  • Europe will become in the next 50 years the new superpower just because it will cooperate economic and technological operations of developement in Middle East, North Africa, european Russia, South America and China. US are not able anymore to lead the world under their golden shield. There will be a world governement controlled by EU after US collapse.

  • He is definitely one of my favorite politicians. Finland has given Europe tons of capable politicians in last decade, in fact I was hoping either Stubb or Olli Rehn would become the president of the council of Europe. Stubb is a bit young to be the president, but I think that is what EU needs,

  • Yes they will become a superpower! The stupid politcians and secular analysts don't know what they're talking about!.......Keep your eye on the EU... it will be become a monster!! History and Bible prophecy say so.....America will continue it's slow decline thanks to it's march toward idiotic liberalism/socialism and moral bankruptcy!!!!

  • @MrKurt1962 your comment shows that you may have read but do not understand the bible. The bible describes the EU as being a weak empire which is divided and is not fully united like the strong empires like before. The bible says that the EU empire will be horrible , more horrible to its people than any other empire, and it will cause more trouble than any other empire. The usa will be far better to be in than the eu when this all happens

  • @MrKurt1962 LOOOL only a blind man could make such a comment, compared to the us the eu is a communist plot, we are WAY more socialistic, WAY more atheistic, WAAAAAAAAAYYYY more liberal. we are an economic and humanitarian superpower, and since we dont WANT to be a military one we wont see great european armies soon. but put your bible aside and spend more time in reality ;)

  • really politics is so boring. Why don't they just decide on a future. Then have a show of hands. End this once and for all. So politicians lose there jobs. Its their turn to fail EPICALLY!!!

  • we need an empire if we want any involvement in WW3 (joke)

we are already a (silent ) empire with more countries sneaking in every so often.

    The power of choice helps.

  • oh my god, no new world order

destroy NWO destroy CFR and the fed

thank god stubb doesent have too much power..

  • Thank to the USA world is moving into chaos ..... WHY in the HELL people listen to these dumb imperialist fucks ....

  • Alexander Stubb, a great man.

  • Eu should stop being whore for Usa like it has been for last 70 years. We should have our own defense systems and be allies with Russians, Iranians and Indians. Sell weapons to China, trade our good relations to usa for good relations with rest of the world and most of all be independent with other great power of the world who pursuit independence. In real world we can't be everyones friend and if we wish to continue good relations with usa we cant have that good relations to rest of the world.

  • @miiiikku

be allies with iran? wtf? why?

  • @JoshRobertson142 Other vice Iran will be friend of China. Iran has oil and China needs oil more than anything. India needs oil as well if it does not get oil it might remain third world power and never create counter power for China.

  • @miiiikku agree with you, but allies with iranians are you crazy????

  • @FcK2420 What is bad with Iranians? They might seem religious fundamentalist but they need religion in order to keep their nation unified. They might be speaking against Israel and develop nuclear bomb but they need that to defend their oil resources. There is pro democracy, pro liberty movement in Iran, we could influence that if we were friend with Iran.

  • @miiiikku are you shitting me??? Killing people for protesting. Denying the holocaust. Very religious fundamentalist and supports terrorist???? Wants to nuke Israel ignores the UN. Were about the sanction them and you think they'd want to be friends with us??

  • @FcK2420 There is no ideological bullshit in real world. They just use resources they have, they dont really have principal problems against anyone, they just say and do whatever is best for their country like we do. Iran also has allies, Russia, China if you heard what their media has to say about Iran you might have different opinion. Iran might as well praise Israel if it was in best interest of their foreign policy. What is happening in the surface if just a show for the masses.

  • @miiiikku haha. yeah sure lets ally with countries that hang people for not being muslim. Kills protesters. Hates democracy. Kills homosexuals. Really what planet are you living on???? Just a show for the masses??? what the country stands for is the exact opposite of western beliefs. have you final comment this is bullshit.

  • @FcK2420 They dont really kill that many people for those reasons and they have to kill some, other vice they would have a revolution and even worse things would happen. We kill much more people by our foreign aid and subsidized agriculture. Its estimated that about 6600 people die in a day because of our agriculture subsidies.

  • this man is crazy, i want my country to stay unique, different and special. i dont want an eu superstate. this is all evil new world order doing!!

  • @No2EUsuperstate

You want a Third World War or something? In my point of view, only a war-mongering Nationalist would still think sovriegnty is not an outdated concept that had precipitated thousands of wars and led to mistrust and squabblings that could be avoidable. And remember what happened to Europe the last time a War mongering nationalist came in power in a certain country...

  • @No2EUsuperstate I dislike people like you, people who stand in the way of progress. France is a mere fart in Sahara compare to the greatness that could be European Federation.

Happily enough, Finland and Germany are the lead economies of the Europe at the moment. And, Finnish politicians like Stubb from the two major parties are pretty pro-EU and Germany too has put lots of effort in deeper integration.

So in the end, your opinion doesn't matter, it'll just fade to the history along time.

  • @OnlyLifeMatters If France is a fart then what is then Finland? Finland which has nothing comparible to France. France could wipe Finland off the earth in 24 hours. Finland nead the EU to be federal because you too scared to stand strong and independent.. Because finland is bordered with Russia, finland begs for millitary support in federal EU. That is why you so pro EU federal state. Fuck off, France will not protect finland. go and beg to others for protection like a bitch!!

  • @No2EUsuperstate heres the real thing, both France AND Finland have no strong role in the flow of world history, neither of them will matter unless they work together with other European nations. the age of Nationalism ended with WWI and WWII, the age of conquering powerblocks with WWII and the Cold War, the age of distant, non-connected rulers with the end of the cold war and with the end of colonialism. Now is the age of cooperation.

  • @mdsatan Dirty communist fool.

  • @OnlyLifeMatters Finland? lead economy? Dont make me laugh. You are either a joker or very stupid to think that your cold ice of a country is a lead economy. Go and build the snowman because that is only economy you have is building snowmen.

  • @No2EUsuperstate You remind me of another extremely childish and stupid french citizen that I had the misfortune of dealing with here on YouTube. I never said Finland would be greater than France, even though if we look history, Finland seem to have had better success in terms of warfare. But that is not relevant.

I hope that you understand that Finland and Germany are leading economies in recovery? Apparently you don't.

Finland is not the main question around here anyways. Let it go.

  • @OnlyLifeMatters You dirty communist fool.

  • @No2EUsuperstate When did you get the impression that I was communist? I am not a communist. Furthermore I don't see being one even a bad thing, even though their ideology fails to work in practice.

Now let's look at my previous comment again. Read it carefully please before reading this reply of mine any further.

Now what part of it justifies your reply "You dirty communist fool"? Do you have any idea how miserable discussion partner you are?

  • FUCK EU!

  • ameriaca think it is the worlds leading super power a claim it needs to show but in all honesty western society needs to stick together every nation with western influence need to unite because other haterd and rascism and dictatorship will conquer i am sorry to say so but i would rather a world where america or eu rule rather than commumisn or religion rule and that is true

  • HAHAHA...i would love to hear Manuel's joke in the EU parliament...lol

  • I like the EU Rapid Reaction Force!

  • it is already. Wheres the oppression?

  • Our fishing industry is stolen from us, we are losing billions because of it. We have to give money to other nations and we are flooded with eastern Europeans willing to work for crap wages. We also have to put up with Romanian gypsies and nonsense laws made in Brussels. We can't even vote for who becomes EU president.

  • Why complain about giving money to other countries? And whats wrong with the eastern europeans? we irish were once impovershed and forced to emigrate aswell! Did we deserve racisim?

  • Because we are deep in serious debt and forced to immigrate ourselves. Nothing wrong with eastern europeans and if you like them so much why don't you pay for them, feed them and kick good, honest Irish ppl out of their jobs and replace them with cheaper foreigners

  • after the fall of the Warsaw Pcat, those countries were and still are quite poor. Unemployment is also quite high. And dont get bitchy with me. We priced ourselves out of the market so we are to blame.

  • So what? That's their problem they are poor. We should look after ourselves first and foremost. We only priced ourselves out of the market because interest rates were kept artificially low and our idiot, corrupt government propped up the construction bubble as much as possibly. They are still trying to prop it up.

  • jesus you are such a troll.

  • jesus, you talk through your arse

  • says you. your face, your arse, what difference?

  • @Richierua I agree with you mate, if we dont help each other especially through hard times than what is the purpose of having a union. Its in everones interests for every country in EU to prosper as much as they can, afterall arent we all

supposed to be in this togerther.

  • too true.

  • WHAT IS WITH THE F***KING OBSESSION WITH SOVREIGNTY AND PROTECTIONISM?!? Eastern Europeans are humans too, and should deserve equal economic opporturnities. It is YOUR problem for not outdoing the Eastern Europeans enough to convince your bosses to keep you guys! In a Europe increasingly transnational, it means you could also go to other places to find jobs much like the E.Europeans could go to your country to find jobs. So go get one, Fascist!

  • How about you go fuck yourself!!! I voted against the expansion of the EU, twice!! That's democracy in action. I voted against the Lisbon treaty, twice!! That's democracy in action. Fuck the EU

  • Seano71

You voted against Lisbon Treaty, Fine, that's your opinion, i respect that. But it seemed many people also voted for the Lisbon treaty. Your country just can't stop integration just because of the little minorities' ultranationalism and protectionism. Your country has democracy, and it has chose integration, so you may just as well back off, mate!

And come on, its not a bad thing. If all countries help out each other in economic development, you could eventually get your jobs back.

  • It takes time for EU to be properly reorganized in order to have actual representative democracy and an efficient bureaucracy system. But the choice of integration is ultimately a democratic process which every nation had undertaken. If most of them say yes you can't argue against them. Relax - losing your soverignty doesn't mean losing your rights and freedom.

  • That concludes my arguments - and please, no conspiracy, because i get the feeling conspiracies like EU being pawns of Jews may eventually start another Holocaust

  • yeah fuck the EU, hope you like having to learn chinese, and being economicly dominated by china and india, cause thats what you voted for u narrow minded moron.

  • I voted against twice, dipshit

  • Comment removed

  • Its the title of the debate .. I didnt make the name up :)

  • Helsinki's foreign minister? :D

  • juu, helsingin pääministeri..

  • i hope to become a superstate

  • ''will ever be''?

Europe already is a superpower in every way. If you know 1 aspict in which we r not, plz inform me.

  • Indeed, the only thing we are stil not is combined like 1 big happy family.

We are still little kids fighting each other like world war 2.

  • Sounds like an average family then :)

  • hahaha xD

Yea, but that happens in all countries. In the US with all the states and other countries with their local governments. So its not just Europe.

  • Yes but we are growing up now :) And also if the Irish vote a YES this fall then it might soon be a true superpower.

  • Indeed, the yes side is leading 46 to 29 percent no.

But you never know, last year we were leading to.

I think some people fooled with the votes last year.

  • Yes it would really be a problem if they vote no.... what to do then?

  • 2 speed europe is 1 idea.

  • Maybe but what can we do if the Lisbon treaty fails? make a new treaty?

  • We can use the same method we are using for the euro.

Not every eu country is using it.

  • make a new treaty.

  • that's fucked we need the irish to vote a YES this year if not then...... make a totalitarian EU and FORCE the lisbon into place instead i don't know.

  • LOL ?

No we should only do the lissabon treaty then in the States who already signed. The other ones willl get kicked out, or wont get any money from the EU.

  • we kick ass

  • Hopefully we will become a superpower...

  • with time we will. We are currently an economic superpower, and a soft global superpower. :)

  • Indeed, next month we have to see what ireland vote.

  • indeed we will become a superpower.

How long it will take? probaly within 10 years.

And we are already a economic superpower.

  • unfortunately for US we dont care what they think or want.

EU must have its own agenda, intersecting in some points with America's but beeing mainly of its own making; EU has demonstrated lots of potential with the softpower aproach and i dont want to see that changing

  • Haha :) Do you have any idea how many american companies have been forced to use the metric system on the ´products? EU has economic supremacy and when that is done it will only be a few decades to political supremacy and properly also millitary power.

  • And a bottle of Jack Daniels in the USA... contains 70cl of liquids :)
