The good part of that Cacodemon room is having the Chaingun or Plasma Rifle makes it less of a pain. Those 2 weapons, plus the Chainsaw, are probably a Cacodemon's least favorite weapon. In this case, spraying all the Cacodemons with either of those 2 guns makes pretty painless work because of their high pain chance. They seldom can return fire, or bite if being Chainsawed.
@cameron20101000 I usually rush them first unless Arch-Viles are around, because of their ability to reproduce Lost Souls to force you to waste health and ammo.
@cameron20101000 I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the Cyberdemon. I love them because they're such an intimidating, awesome boss, and they are great for clearing everyone out FOR you, but I hate them because they're just so damn tough, haha
@kingcrimson1972 Thanks. Hopefully it helps out in other places as well. I tried to take an approach that I felt would be fairly safe (for a lot of the maps) but also makes sure that everything is found and everything is killed.
...oh, those two secrets remind me: I hate it when secrets are in plain sight. And I hate it more when MANDATORY AREAS are marked as secrets!! (TeamTNT sometimes forgets what "secret" means)
@TARINunit9 A lot of TNT Evilution is garbage, however not every map is bad. In argument, it's sometimes necessary to have a mandatory area as a secret (i.e. Map07 "Dead Simple" with the area surrounding the exit) but this should only be done by design. It shouldn't be something in plain sight under any other circumstance. Or if possible, just design a tiny room with a power-up in it, and call that the secret.
I want to see him take on TheCraftyTitan's DoomHack (AKA the yukkuri hack)
It's INSANE, and that's BEFORE you hit the secnd secret level (stupidly high amount of enemies, including MULTIPLE cyberdemon equivalents) or the final boss (Spoilers to say much, I'll just say spawns quicker than the final boss of unhacked Doom 2)
Weapons are generally moar powerful ,though. I like the BFG's equivalent FOR BEIGN THE ONLY ONE THAT I ACTUALLY RECOGNISE.
Wow very nice walk though. I had already beat this level, and was just looking for the location of the Cyber Demon for the You Have Huge Guts achievement. I forgot where he was located and wanted to see what I was getting myself into. I ended up watching the whole walkthrough because it was so detailed and smooth. Once again nice job.
@xSetInMotioNx I'll give Doomsday a look sometime when I'm not using it for D64TC lol. I have seen videos of it being used on YouTube, and it looks like a nice port.
@AltimaMantoid yea i would really like to play it my only problem is i'm not much of a pc gamer and i'm used to the xbox 360 controller and i suck with a keyboard and mouse lol
Tricks and Traps is one of my favourite maps, minus the Pain Elementals and the traps. Very interesting map which will catch the amateur or unsuspecting idiot off guard. Very nice job Altima!

My God, the enemy density of this map is staggering.

@frickfrock999 For Doom 2, yeah it is. Sadly, over half of the game's Barons are in this one map =/ Or, more specifically, the one room.

I totally agreed with you
Pain Elementals are more than just annoying, their bitches!

This vid is very helpful now that I'm taking on Doom II on UltraViolence. Very methodical style.
