nice set here randy. even tho its old lol. nearly 2 years. but im going to start doing incline bench presses. i think ima start with 140 to get use to the way it feels first. and i wont raise my butt either lol. thanks for your support!
Just an update for you, if you haven't been following me. I hit 405 lbs on the close-grip bench a few weeks ago and I did a rep out with 225 lbs and hit 30 reps. The vid's are up if you want to check them out...
close grip wow thats awesum, and the rep out on 225lbs is close grip or normal bench press? either way thats awesum my max is 20 normal but ive never made a video of bench been meanin to just never get round to it
The rep out with 225 lbs was with a normal grip. I also hit 315 lbs x 10 reps with a normal grip (that was another big goal for me). Nice job with 20 reps...keep at it man.
Full arm extension allows you chest to relax during the movement. I am going for explosive speed and constant tension here. Thanks for the question...
Not that often, actually. I try to stick to flat bench and close-grips. I was just trying to see if I could do 20 reps with 2 plates - the most I have done is 19 reps (posted on my site).
I usually try to increase my weights in 5 lb increments (little 2.5 lb'ers a side), when I can. It depends on how I feel, etc...
My advice would be to stick to compound movements (squats, deadlifts, bench presses, rows, etc) and make sure you are not overtraining. Light reps, heavy weights...
I am not the guy to ask for diet tips, I just eat normally; I don't take supplements/protein shakes, etc.
How much do each plate weights? How much is that bar? 15 pounds? Good job.. I also do incline, decline and flat. My incline seems alot more intense because it's a little bit higher than yours.
Each plate weighs 45 lbs and the bar is 45 lbs, so all in that is 225 lbs. I have maxed out at 325 lbs on the incline (it's posted somewhere on my site).
you are absolutley impressive...you have to give me a break down of wut kinds of things ur doing to get such potent increases in your strength. VERY NICE
Thanks for the great comment! I apprecitate it...I think the biggest bit of advice I could give is to keep things simple and short. The growing is in the resting (which works well for me because I am naturally lazy! LOL).
So, stick to compound movements and rest a lot. That's what has been working for me thus far...good luck!
nice dude. u kept the weight under control at all times; very impressive on the incline. on my bench, i have to slide down to get the incline bench started lol.

How often do you hit the incline?
How much do you move up in weight per workout?
Any joint pain?
Thanks just curious.
