The screen you see after the scan, you were selecting from the "DELETED FILES", what happens if you select the ROOT directory? I've tried to save the files (and I'm saving from D: to C:) but they don't show up. Whats up with that?

In the "DELETED" folder, I don't recognize any of the names. I can show you a screen dump if you want me to email you. Something seems to be wrong, and I need help.

I dont know without looking at your data recovery, have you tried to save them to a external drive? I know saving from C: to D: works ok, but I have never backed up like that I have always backed up to a external drive. and sorry for late reply.

How do I use PC Inspector to recover lost files? I found thousands of clusters of files, and they are now under the lost tab in the program. When I save them to another disk, it just shows up as clusters again, not the actual data I lost.

I'm very frustrated with this program. I'm trying to find lost files, over a thousand minutes left and I keep getting error 23. Did the writers of this program really expect users to sit for hours and hours hitting the ignore button each time it dings? Could you not have included an ignore all? I've turned up the volume on the computer and everytime it bings I run in and hit ignore. Come on!

Someone PLEASE help me!! I just logged on to my PC this morning and it was working fine, but it said that it needed to be updated and that it had to be restarted to complete. I logged back on and HALF OF EVERYTHING I HAD WAS DELETED! I don't know what the hell happened. This actually worked, I found pictures that I had deleted on my camera but the thing is, the search stops at the exact picture where I need it to go further. What I mean is, there are pictures that I have deleted just before the ones I found. And i do mean JUST before.

@Britec09 actually the solution to that problem, that i also was having, has been answered. you need to run the program as administrator to get it to read logical drives. now the problem i'm having is that when it scans all my files on a corrupted drive, it thinks they are all the same size. when i try to restore the files to another drive, they don't copy correctly. pictures won't open, ect. i would love some help with this one.
