This video looks so puzzling because of the video editing. From the beginning to 1:00 mark they used an amputee , after the cut to the judges on 1:00 a switch happened with they cut it out ( watch how the moment where the assistant place the legs next to the body is never showed ) and they used a different person, that being understood the trick became very simple. That's also explains why the needed to use such a heavily disguised amputee ( black paint on skin , mask , glassed , hat ).

Its not bloody mirrors. The clue is given to you by the fact that they have easy access to midgets. There is a midget standing in the bottom half (ie the legs) and a midget with his knees pulled up to his chest is the top half (notice how 'fat' the top half is?) Thats why he needs help to get up. (the magician keeps a hand on his stomach)

After that its a normal person lying on the table. Notice too how the "top" of the person moves from the middle of the table to the right side after the cut , just as if were in laying position. And notice how the placement of the legs is never really showed.
