i live in minnesota also, but the record for a crappie is 5lbs and was caught in 1940, post a video of you with your tape measure then ill believe it.
Isn't it amazing that when you catch a crappie, there are at least two or three who feel compelled to tell you they catch bigger/more crappies routinely? It never fails! It happens with every species, but seems to be more prevalent with crappie fishermen than all others.
Thats a really big crappie up north.
