Mercy For Homeless Animals

I've done my part so far in adopting two kitties. One three years ago was rescued from a Barn and the other is in the works from an organization Safeteam. I can't take in more animals, but I plan to help in the future where I can.

I have 4 rescued dogs and every morning when I see them playing, my heart just fills with joy knowing that these babies are not on the streets stricken with disseases and hunger....away from man cruelty.....

There was an american bulldog x that'd been badly abused at the dog shelter the other day and thy wudnt let me take it it had to be put down and the dog knew what was gunna happen u cud tell it in his eyes at least i got to give him a walk and some ham poor thing

I no it sucks alot of dogs are unfairly labelled i had to get a specialist dog licence to take in half the dogs i've got/had and they were fine they had been used for fighting but were human friendly just needed taught proper behaviour with other dogs we now have had 8 dogs that had been used for fighting and all became well socialised friendly dogs to all ppl and pets.

For every homeless American, there are at least 20 homeless pets. Why is ANY of this necessary? Why does it happen? Because as a society, we don't really give a damn. It's not happening to us, so who cares. We're sitting at our fancy computers watching videos and munching sandwiches. Our pets are loved and well cared for. So let's just continue not caring about throw-away people and pets. "Where mercy is shown, mercy is given;" let's remember this.

true ppl should also learn to neuer their pets unless they definatly want puppies at a latter date. It took my sis ages recently to find a lab/collie x pup whereas they used to b abudant and i have to say its a good thing better to have to wait for a pet than have lots of unwanted ones

Thank you becca, if there was mandatory spay/neuter and thorough welfare checks made on licensed breeders and tough laws stating who could and could not breed from their pets, meaning no puppy factories, it would be a start at least, until then we have this pathetic situation of animals waiting in holding pens to be euthanized, it's disgraceful, cruel and wrong, and about time the situation was addressed globally. I always hear the argument that if we have mandatory spay and neuter laws, pretty soon "there will be no animals". If only...I would love to see a world in which there were no more homeless pets and we would have to fight for the right to have them. Unfortunately there are so many.
