Well shit, I know exactly what the problem here is... It's a Yamaha dumbass. Get a GSXR and you wouldn't have these problems haha

Sounds like the cam chain making all that noise, so taking off the cam chain tensioner and checking it is what I would try first. Quite a common problem on these bikes but it is a cheap and easy fix.

So what ended up being the problem? I got the same thing an they said it may be my chain tensioner but it wasn't.

@19838222 Everyone is telling me different things!! One said that it could be a simple valve adjustment, another said that it could be the clutch basket! I once read in a forum that it could be air locked and the oil is not reaching the valves up top. Who knows, these engines aren't that expensive used.If push comes to shove, I'll just replace it over the winter. If u find out something' b4 I do, please let me know! R1's are the best!!!

@Jerbartolo The frames got 22k but the engine was replaced a lil' over a yr. ago. Really don't know how many miles it has, only thing I know is that it's 01. Jus' lookin' for some advice.
