I use to go to Margate in the 1980's, some of my best childhood memories are of time spent there. I went back a few years ago with my son, it was dirty and felt dangerous. I now go to Broadstairs, I feel tthe local council has helped destroy this town by building a large out of town shopping area and thus destroying the High street, and not being strategic enough in planning 20 and 30 years ago, Very sad, I hope it finds some of its past glory
